No mention of it on Fox, not sure about Nine. But i guess with the rights being due, it makes sense. I wonder if this is why Abdo jumped ?

I feel for anyone who has a gambling problem, it can strike anyone no matter who they are and like any addiction it controls your life and destroys everything around you. My grandfather lost the family house in Bellevue Hill on one bet many years ago.
Anyway in saying the above how can any organisation that has heavy links to the gambling industry have a referee with a well known gambling problem. This is absolutely astounding the NRL has put this under the carpet.Every call that Klein has made is now under scrutiny. Of course the NRL can say what they like but there is now a massive cloud of doubt.

It sucks he has a gambling issue, but this should have ended his refereeing career ages ago if that is the case

In my youth I was good friends with a prominent Sydney Jockey, as we all know Jockeys are not allowed to punt. He had a guy he called Betsy who placed all his bets and all the proceeds arrived in brown paper bags full of cash. Iam sure a referee could use a similar system.
Going to be interesting what spin PV puts on this, got a feeling it could be like someone with the Epstein files!

Klein is probably a year away from hanging up the whistle and this will fast track it. Sadly the possible damage has been done, teams may have lost premierships, who knows.

This info out today just put every game he refs into doubt on the result , weather in the bunker or on field he will now be classed as a possible cheat , penalties , 6 again , dud calls will,be so heavily looked at by all fans it will stain the game , he should not be doing SOO either , if nsw win it’s rigged if qld win it’s rigged even more due to nrl needing / wanting deciders as its best for them , , Hahaha gonna be fun now , he won’t last long I feel

See this is now the problem, his credibility is shot to ribbons and every decision he makes will be given “ connotations “ by the viewing public.
I think retirement will end up his only viable option.
From here on in every single decision he makes on the field or in the bunker will have people believing he has a financial involvement in the result.His credibility and integrity is forever tainted.
I wonder how long it will take for banners appearing amongst supporters calling him a balding cheat or something similar.
