Just came across this video.

I don't care much for soccer but the last clip was a very nice gesture.
I'd even put Johnathan Thurston in this class with the efforts he goes to handing out his head gear to a kid in the crowd after each game.

And here is part 2….

Yeah sport always brings out the humanity in people. Thats why, I would suspect, that we are all sport nuts on here.

Did Minichiello give his previous GF ring to the young girl in the wheelchair on the podium on Sunday

If he did , that was a class act

I thought it was weird that a lot of the players totally ignored the little girl in the wheelchair. Thought that was very poor form from both teams.

And while I'm not the biggest SBW fan, he took the time to bend down and acknowledge the chair and (i think) gave her a kiss on the cheek.

Yeah, credit where credit is due. I must admit I had him pegged for one who would have brushed the girl off, pleasantly surprised.

People can say what they like about SBW. There was and to a certain degree still is a lot of hatred directed towards him but i can't help admire his commitment to his family and his determination towards living a clean life and being the absolute best he can be at everything he does. He made mistakes in the way he handled some things, but he was just a kid receiving poor guidance.

As for his manager…......... best I leave that alone

Actually that was strange ,many of the players I thought would brush her didn't and vice versa

But was actually asking the question ?? The Manly supporter among the group said he did and then spent the next two hours watering his garden

Kurt Fearnley is an athlete deserving of utmost respect, the bloke is an absolute legend. As he is wheelchair bound he actually travelled the length of the Kokoda Track by crawling on his hands, what a phenomenal feat.

SBW knows how to work the media but his total lack of respect and disregard to his fellow Kiwi Test squad members, particularly Tohu Harris, proves that the bottom line for SBW is himself. It is easy to smile and do and say all the right things when the cameras are on you, politician scum do it all the time.

A persons character comes down to how you conduct yourself when you think that no-one is watching you.
