Auckland 9's line up

but Hitchcock is literally a reserve for reserve grade, not in the top 33….a number of people named him in the side. Puzzling for me.
Surely there is no advantage in picking him.

that's a big call happy, quicker than simona and koro? find it hard to believe unless he's too skinny for 1st grade and has little agility or something.

Haven't seen him play too much.

Hopefully Moses/Brooks combo can get some good gametime, develop that combo more

Happy are you in anyway related to Hitchcock?

I don't think he is quicker than koro.

If he is and can't make firsts then the flaws in his game don't allow him to make it into grade. Why should he play in a 9 a side where he will be exposed even more.

Positive thinking but not sure how realistic it is.

No relation Phil

Look we don't have a huge chance of winning the 9's

The one way we could be effective is to give Brooks ,Farah and Fulton heaps of speed and have multiple runners with speed to get in behind the line

One bloke I left out was Sironen , if he could isolate blokes with speed either side he could be useful as well

Moltzen is coming back from his second ACL. Not sure his pace will be much chop by early next year.

Few blokes will be up in the air If Simona is fit , he'd be one of the first chosen

Goose it would be between Hitchcox and Korobete for fastest at the club. Hitchcox has had a rotten run of injuries mainly to do with his ankles. He has started the last two seasons recovering from injuries and has played his way into the team on both occasions with form . If fully fit he would fit well into the 9s side.

I think being on early both days is beneficial for us

Think we're a great chance of topping our pool. Sharks don't have many fast players, knights could be extremely dangerous with BJ, gagai, uate, naiqama and the titans will be in between with kelly, mead and gordon

In what way Ink?

At least if we aren't in contention for the finals on Sunday night the boys can get on the drink early

Im not exactly sure how the format of the comp will go….but I just imagine having more of a spell between your third game and the quarters would be better than what Raiders v Sea Eagles at 2.10pm, Storm v Dragons at 2.35pm and Panthers v Rabbitohs at 3pm: have to face

Not a bad pool for us to be in IMO. I reckon we've got enough talent to win that and progress to the quarter finals. From there, who knows, we could just surprise a few sides.

Have to include Farah ,Woods & Fulton.

Need speed 4 or 5 wingers / centers

2 or 3 play makers Brooks & ??

Big strong players that tackle & not Blair,[ I dont think he offers anything after 2 seasons of nothing].to make up the balance.

I think they will practice 9s at training & may come up with some interesting surprises after this. We haven't had 9s before so it will be fun.

Remember any players play at WC won't be playing in 9's

I dont think thats correct….plenty in the WC have been mentioned in stories about the 9s

Some players may play if they finish early but from Teams who play WC finals they don't get back to Australia to early December, not 100% sure but they must have either a 4-6 week break, then they comeback in pre season after new years, I doubt they are throw in after 1 months of pre season

Maybe wrong

Also remember we only have to play 1 of the Top 5 paid players

Who are our Top 5 paid Players ?
Farah
Blair
?
?
?
