Pretty average game really. Kiwis have tried hard but don't look like scoring. I think tomorrow night's games might be more entertaining,

^^^ I reckon scrap the trials & 9s. Start the season early, play everyone twice, top 6 make the finals, SOO & internationals after the GF.

Stephen Kearney should be sacked for not picking Isaac Luke. Doesnt matter how badly he's been playing for the Warriors, he had to be there in front of playing guys who dont actually play hooker. Doesnt Kearney remember what guys like Olsen Filipiana did playing for NZ from reserve grade? He had to back Luke to do the same. Crazy decision.
As for the aussies, well its time to keep one eye on now and one eye on the world cup.

Move Cronk and switch Thurston to half. Bring in a younger halves partner at 5/8, happy with either Milford or Morgan.
Cam Smith is a hard one as there is no obvious replacement for him. Personally i think he is done and dusted, but the only guy i see worth playing at 9 in his absence isnt a specialist hooker, Michael Morgan. If Milford is at 6, I think Morgan could go great at 9, but its a big call to do that. Morgan would go great anywhere though, even centre.
Inglis needs to go too, and no way Dugan is a better centre than Morris, Jennings or Roberts. Oates is more potent than Ferguson and Semi isnt an Aussie.

So much for the Kiwi's getting flogged. They had three quarters of their team missing, nuffies playing in half the spine and Dad's Army can only put 16 on them, and 6 of those were suspect.
If Meninga thinks a team like that will win the World Cup he is kidding himself. This was a golden opportunity to pick a side that may line up for the WC and he picks half the team that should be in a Nursing Home by next year. Idiot.
