Australia vs England Live Game Thread *Spoiler Alert*

Someone explain to me why Gallen and Watmough are in this team. And Tonga! Pass-the-ball Willie!

Take out the three Australian tries that weren't tries and it was a very close game. (OK, keep the one that Lote scored!)

Who hasn't had a run yet?

I think Lote & Tonga should be left out the next game as they just don't seem to click. Move Morris back to his Left Wing and play Chris inside him. Give Boyd a run on the right and Carney at Fullback and I think we will see more natural attacking football.

Watmough & Gallen are passengers out there and are giving no service to the rest of the forwards. They got a go, and Nate is a backrower so move him back there and bring in Scott.

We will get bashed if the Final was next week…

its not lote's fault. lawrence should be left centre and lote left wing

interesting, on the replay Lote mouthed "FINALLY" when he scored the try - methinks he's as frustrated as we are with him being outside of Tonga.

Poor game overall, we did not play well and you lot cruised it in the last half. I wont waste time on the ref he is not worth it! Our backs were very poor. Lunt should have come on much earlier. Kicking game was better this week but still not the best.
I dont know what you guys think but the 4 nations should be held every other year at least it will let teams to build as its just a 2 horse race. Might just aswell have a final. Next year will be the same as Wales are not competetive. Have any England players impressed you this 4 nations then? Lockyer does not seam to be as unpront as he used to be.

Next time we will have a English ref

yeah hudd, Tigers supporters have a bit of a dislike for Shane Hayne, he definitely isn't worth it.

It was a very poor game and Aus were lucky to be in the lead anyway with a few dodgy tries.

Not too sure about how they bring in the 4th team….PNG were just no match, they certainly don't give up, but they aren't even close. I'd expect England to run riot over them next week.

Have any England players impressed you this 4 nations then?

well, besides Sam and Gareth.... I really liked Shenton, shame he got injured, Crabtree, the guy is huge, he should come out here and Westwood. The backs just didn't fire enough for anyone else to really stand out for mine.

I understand our desire to see Lote getting more ball, but I didn't really find any attacking raids down the left that Tonga "should" of passed. Lote is a winger who does require clean ball to do his damage, whereas Morris would be more suited to ignite something down that side.

The PR stunt of bringing Lote in needs to stop now, and Morris MUST go back to the left wing if we want to win this comp!

no winger would seem to click with tonga as center

That's just an ignorant comment… Do you actually analyse anything or do you just jump on your bandwagon of personal agenda's? What do you think the problem is that is causing the lack of ball movement?

I think it's the Tonga step. Playing on the left, he is stepping towards Lote and the play is becoming cramped...

Are you seeing this or do you feel something else is contributing?

Tonga can break the line but he cannot set his winger up. There were times when he shldve passed early such as the scrum move, when Lote only needed to beat the fullback, instead he stepped outside then inside (mind you that was good) and almost broke the line. If it was Lawrence he would've hit the whole, attracted two defenders and gave a clean ball to Lote, who would bulldoze over the fullback.

Really frustrated to see that the only try Lote scored was off a 2 metre forward pass, where he couldve bagged a hatrick against PNG and possibly a double against England.
