Mate I still believe he is a wonderful role model to both kids & junior footballers - but I worry that because of all his on-field achievements & his highly gracious & gentlemanly public persona - that he is placed on too high a pedestal (with a halo to boot) for any young man to meet these impossibly high expectations!!!

I have actually read the word "perfect" in regards to what he should aspire to in this threat on several occasions - and it makes me sick!!!

He is a human-being like us - he has never been "perfect" on the pitch - so why expect it in his own hours????

In my eyes - there was no mistake or wrongdoing - just a human reacting in a natural & forgivable manner after doing so much good (that night itself) & copping extreme unjustified crap from some faceless idiots while trying to have a good time with his girl!!

He has not let ME down - & I will not let HIM down now!!!!!

There better be a big crowd at Leichhardt for RD 2 to show him we care!!!!

I know it seems like a great idea Mrs T and I am definitely supporting Benji (on the supposed "facts" that have been reported so far) but I personally don't think it's the best idea for a bunch of Tiger supporters to turn up in their gear at the court house on April 20th.

It wasn't the best look for B. Stewart and the Manly club when a bunch of their finest turned up with biro on cardboard signs saying "We love Brett". It turned the initial days into more of a circus then they were already and the group felt the wrath from their own fans as well as others.

I know you're massively committed to the Mighties Mrs T, but there has to be a better way for us all to support Benji rather than adding to the hysteria bound to occur on the 20th.

He has NEVER said no to an autograph, goes out of this way to make sure the kids are happy and get a picture.

I am so angry this pissed up grub has done this.

I agree 100%, mate, I wasn't intending on turning up in my WT gear with signs and stuff!

Hopefully it won't even get as far as court.

I am backing Benji no matter what he does. Seriously if he goes to my kids school and starts going postal I've got his back.

Anyone who doesn't is in my opinion not a true fan.

And to the posters saying he isn't perfect I think you should go and "mods won't let me use the term" off and support another team.

We can back Benji by sending an email or letter to the club showing our support. I love the bloke. I might stick my head in at the hearing that's for sure, but in a suit with my mouth shut.

Don't bother at the April 20 hearing mate - as that will just be for mention & the media circus will be sufficient!

But if it does go to a committal hearing by all means do so comrade!
 
This guy has destroyed Benji's reputation. Even if he is cleared, the NRL poster boy he will no longer be. I am not saying that is a really bad thing, I would have liked him to make the decision.

By the way, I read that he will be hosting The Footy Show. Maybe he just concentrate on that second ring.
