HolyX Pif Pifileti (up a grade) & Hawks Jordy Fedele are steam train props, and X Tevita tatola having another run in Matts after playing up a grade this year…this grades best player imo is missing hopefully one thats added later

Matt woods any relation to Aaron???

would I be correct in saying Mitchell Moses would be the best player in Ball???

Another Sironen in Matts I see

Yes, Bayley is the younger brother of Curtis and I've been told "if you think Curtis is good, wait till you see Bayley". Sounds promising, so we'll just have to wait and see. The future looks bright for the WT! :sunglasses:

The games I have seen i was very impressed with Moses not sure what his best position is.. maybe 5/8 but he can certainly create a try out of nothing.
Also a couple of others Centre Daniel Ravkin and Hooker Mania Cherrington would also be candidates for finishing the season in NYC.

The SG BALL Cup list shown will (I have been told), not resemble the team that makes up the final playing squad, with a number of players named not going to accept the offer presented to them. They will be off elsewhere to continue their football.

Some have already moved on to greener pastures prior to the squad in this forum having been named.

Good luck to the mighty Balmain Tigers in 2012

I would think if fit, Luke Brooks would be the best player in this list by the length of the straight. Not sure of his best position either maybe 5/8 or lock but he is a beauty. It would surprise me if Daniel Ravkin plays 20s next year

Tigers Just signed James Luff so don't like Mania's chances (needs to work on his defence) and Rakvin will have to move into the fwd's his wingers will die of starvation.

Moses was a standout last year for the Ball, hopefully Brooks recovers from his 2nd leg break. They would be close to being the best halves combination in SG. Alex Zarounis (5/8) was a standout at the Balmain SG trial a couple of weeks ago setting up about 10 tries. Heard he did pretty much the same trialling for the Sharks.

Quite a few players missing from sg ball team list this year that where in the matts two years ago . Does anybody know where the players have gone. This must be a strong team this year cause the matts team two years ago could of won the comp it looks like balmain have added some good young talent to the team. With Brooks Farrell and Moses in the team they ll be hard to beat.

They will have a very strong team this year IMO. They have some really great attacking players and have the majority of the Holy Cross Schoolboys Cup semi final team, they looked liked losing players to other districts but the best of them are now staying.

Does anyone have any inside info about the Junior Rep Draw for 2012, I believe there is a draft draw but can't find any other info on it.

Junior Rep draw 2012 for Balmain

Not confirmed but is something like the below:

Western Academy, Roosters, Central Coast, WA, Melbourne, Saints, Norths, Sharks, Manly.

Anyone have who Wests play??

Without knowing what the teams are like, that looks like a very friendly draw, a number of those teams are not traditionally strong.

Draw has been released for Harold Matts and SG Ball.

Balmain 2012:
Round1: Western Sydney Academy at St Marys
Round 2: Roosters at Leichhardt
Round 3: Central Coast at Morrie Breen
Round 4: SG plays Western Australia at Leichhardt, HM Bye.
Round 5: SG plays Melbourne at Casey Fields (Melb), HM plays South Western Sydney Academy at Leichhardt.
Round 6: St George at Leichhardt
Round 7: North Sydney at Leichhardt
Round 8: Cronulla at Leichhardt
Round 9: Manly at Leichhardt

Looks like a good draw, a definite abundance of home games with a side-trip to Melbourne.
