Balmain ,and Cambo join Easts Tigers , Would you support that new club ?

As the headline , if Balmain pulled away from wests tigers with the backing of Cambo to align with Easts Tigers would you support that club ?

Geez, 3 x home turfs- Leichhardt, Campbelltown and somewhere Brissie. Apart from probable agreement on the Tiger Mascot as I don't think Wests Campbelltown have Magpie anymore, everything else would be a s#itfight. Unless Balmain move up to Easts Tigers and merge there without Cambo.
 
it would just be nrl take the licence gives it to east's tigers and away they go.
For nrl perspective 1 less team in Sydney and an extra team in Brisbane
if we are lucky maybe 1 or 2 games at Leichhardt

If they’re a professionally run organisation I’d probably get behind it. Gotta be better than the constant inept shit we have to deal with now.
 
It's not what I want ideally, however my main aim at this time is for HBG to step away from Wests Tigers to the fullest extent possible.

If that solution involved changing Wests Tigers ownership structure, I'd be fine. I'd rather HBG do it voluntarily, but either way I want them gone.

We basically had a workable solution in 2025 and HBG have now ruined it, like they ruin everything else.

that would be the option it gives nrl that other team in Qld
would be dependent on nrl taking the licence
 
I have zero problem with both Wests and Balmain being foundations of our club.
My problem, and it seems I’m far from alone, is with Burgess and those in his inner circle.

If NRL takes license, which they might the way things are going, I would say relocation of Tigers brand to Brisbane and no sharing home ground between Brissie and LO. The entirety of ops goes out of Brissie. Sydney links gone and Balmain Tigers and Wests Magpies forever extinct at NRL level, our Sydney territory (BT & WM) carved up between Parra, Bulldogs and Easts / Souths, Campbelltown goes to Penrith.

If you lot want to blow the joint up lets do it properly and totally end the Sydney centric fighting. For me I'd cease supporting NRL then.

As Im in a minority and no one cares about the views of a Magpie guy (noting I dont support Burgess, his buffoons and the damn stupid WSM debenture system) here it is anyway, why should the WSM continue to field the 90% ownership? I thought the 2024-25 ructions had sorted things as to progress and workings - obviously not.

I really would love to see their list of grievances- Jerseys can only be a catalyst surely, I can see the stadiums issue being greater cause but it was best of a bad set of options as far as I know- I'd like to know what they meant by stadiums issue. There must also be other things that have got their feathers ruffled- sorry, had to put the pun in there. 🙂

I’d be fine with that . The “magpies” are a cancer that permeates through the club . To the point that it either gets cut out and we live with the scars , or it kills the club altogether . Put it this way . If these idiots get what they want and the return of the magpies , the club is dead anyway . 80% of the fanbase will walk away at minimum . I’d suggest it’s probably more like 90-95%.
For me I’d actively join any other club and death ride the magpies forever . Probably the bears if I’m honest , or if the easts tigers do get an nrl licence , then them .
Magpies fans are absolutely delusional . They think that the current club as it stands , would just have a little outrage , lose a few punters , then get on with life . The club will be destroyed .

There’s a difference between the Magpies and the people running the Magpies. Since they own the club, you can essentially say WT’s are a cancer as well. It’s the individuals running the club. Not the club itself.

No it’s the concept of “magpies” . That is the cancer ! It’s like your missus leaves you , so you find a new missus and it has its ups and downs but generally it’s pretty amicable . But secretly the whole time you white ant the relationship in the slim hope that your ex will return …. Except almost 30 years goes by ., your kids call the new woman mum , they don’t know anything better, it’s generally accepted in the wider family you 2 are together , the oldies talk about the days when you weren’t but anyone under a certain age doesn’t know wtf they oldies are even talking about … but yet you pine for yesteryear … and wait , and pine and mope , and pretend and wait . And if the day happens where you do get back with your ex , it will totally destroy everything good that you have in your life … but that’s not a consideration … that shit is T O X I C .
