Ball Preview from NSW Rugby League
NSWRL’s game of the week sees a battle between two of Rugby League’s traditional clubs who are both desperate for two points. Balmain was beaten by a Western Australian outfit playing on emotion while the Bears were comprehensively beaten by the Sydney Roosters. Balmain five-eighth Curtis Sironen was best in a defeated side in Perth and should the North Sydney defence lapse Sironen will make them pay. North Sydney captain Ray Schuster was also the best in a beaten bunch for the Bears. His tireless work in defence kept the score respectable last weekend.

Matts Preview from NSW Rugby League
This will be the first time Tiger’s fans will get a look at their Harold Matthews squad after they enjoyed a bye week in Round one. The Tigers impressed in trials, especially in a game against the Bulldogs at Auburn. Half-back Luke Brooks tore the Dogs apart that day. He scored a 60 metre runaway try and set up three others in a dominant performance. North Sydney coach Kevin Nicholls will be sending plenty of traffic Brooks’ way in order to nullify the shifty young number seven. Front-rower Shaun Moe is worth also worth a look for the North Sydney outfit.
