Balmain Ryde-Eastwood Round 3

Not a great performance.

Ryan Carr wins tackle of the year so far for his covering grassing tackle stopping a certain runaway try. Farlow was very good as usual. Our halves were not on song today and we weree pretty sloppy. We are lucky in the end Williams and Paea are garbage. How Eddie wasn't sent for the extended spray he gave the reff I will never know.

Good to get a win and there are building blocks to continue with for the flight over the ditch next week.

Player of the match for mine is a split between Sam Latu & Rhys Curran.

Alad your reff mate is a muppet.

Also big thumbs down to the Norths coach abusing a Balmain player at half time

Well done Balmain Ryde Eastwood. Still undefeated this year.

It's gonna be a cracker of a game when Western Suburbs play Balmain Ryde Eastwood in Leumeah later in the year. Hopefully the Magpies will be at full strength this time.

Congrats to Balmain on what was obviously a tough win in trying conditions. Always good to grab a win even when your halves don't play well.

Halves were not bad. It was just a very disjointed performance.

AJ & Meaney both came off in the 2nd half

Mataka to centre.

Sometimes you can jag a good guess. although the rest of my predicted possibilities were off.

Mataka nullified Jamie Simpson, probably Norths best attacking runner

Hey Smeg, the blokes a nice guy who looked after my account when he worked at Sylvania…do you think he should have stayed in his day job...it's a tough gig trying to become a NRL Ref

I think he was overawed by what was in front of him. The fact he put up with Paeas spray and did nothing, coupled with the fact Norths got a raft of penalties for nothing showed his inexperience.

For now I will say Muppet but if he keeps at it you never know. You cannot let yourself be dictated to like that by a player, especially a Souths scum

Well it's not surprising to me that Mataka went well in the centres. As a second rower he has shown he can run onto the ball with pace into the gaps. He times his runs well.

No but Ben McDougall made a appearance off the bench returning from his pre-season injury
