He has played centre as much as he has back row for the State Cup side this year.

I don't mind it considering he was second quickest in the Wests Tigers sprints in pre-season

Mataka has played at least half a dozen games in the centres this season, he's got more than enough pace to handle it. Another decent looking side for BRET. Add Meaney to the backline and there's some real potency there.
 
It's exactly the same team posted last week , and why would you change anything …should put 30 points on Norths , but BRET has a bad habit of struggling against the lower placed teams.

Pity this game isn't on a normal Saturday arvo

I think they might put a few more than the 30 points that aladinsane suggests, last week the hapless Bears had 70 points put on them and we should have gone 50+ against the Sharks.
Hope the game is being broadcast by 2HHH-FM, they're from Hornsby and passionate Bears fans, could be fun.
 
Some of our guys have a habit of slacking off against the Bears as there are friendships there and some work together. I seriously hope that this is still not an issue come Sunday

The North Sydney club are a disgrace to the game of Rugby League.

Not only did Schirnack have part of his ear bitten off but was abused by the Norths coach and manager and they used racial slurs against Jason. Disgraceful human beings.

I hope they never get a NRL license.

Worst part is Suttor was reffing and didn't even send the guy off
 
That's disgusting. They should be looking at criminal charges for that.

WHAT! that's discracefull. was it actually bitten OFF?
 
That is correct.

Taking away the negative aspects of yesterdays game it was an excellent result for the club.

We saw the returns of Bennett, Meaney, Vunakace & Flanagan from injury and all got through the game.

Matt Ryan came away with a hamstring complaint so he may not be available for next week.

For mine Al Schirnack was the best on park. His runs, footwork and passing game have all improved dramatically.

The first half was a demolition by the Tigers with all players performing well on both sides of the ledger. Towards the end of the second half the game really denegrated due to the Bears tactics.

Good win in the end
