Mate, he had a very quiet game. He was too flat in attack , and hence his hitups had no impact .No one damaging tackle, and with this sort of player, big hits are mandatory.
David Gower & Matt Ryan had good first halves ,but like the rest of the team went very quiet in the 2nd half. Rhys Curran wa probably the best forward again for the 3rd week in the row. His off season with the first grade , is really starting to pay dividends .
Another tale of 2 halves , where you would rate the 1st at 90% , and the 2nd at 30%. They just were not there in the second half….thank God , Meaney was there to carry the side.

Alad if you noticed the PTB interpretation changed immediatley after half time when we were tackling. Were called to move as soon as the player touched the ground and Wenty were allowed alot of latitude. They got away with alot of cheap shots on the hooker and halves as well.

I expect things to change to try and make it more of a contest but this was terrible. Penalised twice for getting tackled and landing with a forearm on a guy dragging the ball carrier towards him.

Energy was down yes and it appeared Al Schirnack picked up a calf strain which was a shame as he was playing very well.

We missed Bennett out there as he really stabilises the team and seems to get decent results out of reffs.

Anyway moving on to next week for what is hopefully an 80 minute performance

Why was this game at Parramatta Stadium tonight instead of the Parramatta vs. North Queensland Under 20's match?

It was there as the Cowboys requested that the 20's game be played on the weekend as their players have missed a fair bit of work & school this season through the amount of Friday and Monday games they have been given.

Balmain Ryde accepted this and agreed to play in the pre-match slot tonight
