Any idea what players get bonus points for? Must admit I have no idea of how things are scored beyond the basics of goals, assists and clean sheets. Just wrapping my head around the difference between who looks like a good player and who is actually a good Fantasy player.@Harvey

#FPL Game-week # 5 for season 2024/2025 is done and dusted.
Well done everyone; no matter what your score was, it’s now Week 5 down of a long season, so onwards and upwards from here.
Just to recap:
First off, give yourself a big hand – you’re one of a whopping 10,351,652 players world-wide who have (so far) joined the EPL Fantasy Comps comp – WOW!!
WTF Classic League 2024/2025
WOW!!
There’s been more movement after this 5th game-week.
This time round, Beyond Salvation smashed this round of footy with a massive 94 points. Slip Slot Slap also scored really well with 82 points, while yayayayayayaTOURE scored another high score of 79 points, in coming 3rd highest of the round.
Huge congrats to these and to everyone really – the scores were pretty high even going lower in the leaderboard - please check the Barclays Premier League website for full details.
That brings us to the ladder after 5 game weeks:
That were diabolical retains top spot as outright leader with 375 points, from a close up Diogo Your Own Way on 367 in 2nd, and holding down 3rd spot are Laroche and Soccer Not Football, equal on 347 points, albeit in a very close leaderboard. even at this 5th game week mark.
And pretty close as we go down the ladder too.
Well done all.
WTF Head2Head Season 2024/2024
Here, with this season’s H2H comp having 13 entrants, being a weekly format of mate against mate, we have 6 winners, with the odd player against “average.”.
Congrats to Diogo Your Own Way, Slip Slot Slap, Beyond Salvation, Teammeh, Guehi and Bon Vivant with wins this round (and Delta Blues losing to “Average.”).
At this early stage, Diogo Your Own Way has opened up a bit of a lead with 15 points, from 4 teams locked together on equal 2nd spot with 9 points – these being: Delta Blues, Fleet Feet, teammeh, and Slip Slot Slap.
And others pretty much close up on the ladder - please check the Barclays Premier League website for full details.
Well done all.
Now, moving on:
It’s just 5 weeks down and as the old line goes: It’s not a sprint – it’s a marathon of 38 match weeks, so settle in for the FUN to come!
Besides, the elevator to outright tipping success is sometimes out-of-order and we then have to use the stairs: one tip at a time! Hang in there and just do it!
Game-week 6 starts Saturday night AEST 21 September.
If not too sure at any time, check any of the multitude of web resources, f/b, twitter – there’s a zillion “experts” all wanting to say they know!
Choose wisely.
We just need to release our own:

Such a good question, champion @full80.Any idea what players get bonus points for? Must admit I have no idea of how things are scored beyond the basics of goals, assists and clean sheets. Just wrapping my head around the difference between who looks like a good player and who is actually a good Fantasy player.
Thanks Tiger One, this reply is definitely above and beyond. Excellent. Thanks so much. As a less passionate EPL fan I find the Fantasy more fun than the NRL variety, as I don't have the lifelong rivalries and hatreds I have in NRL. In NRL, for instance, no matter how good the stats were there are just some teams and players I could never choose. Let's face it, my NRL team would probably have 13 Tigers in it. Lol. Cheers have a great weekendSuch a good question, champion @full80.
You're so right - a good football player, doing a great job in his position for his club, might be - or might NOT be - a great fantasy player.
If you log into the Barclays Premier League website, then get into the fantasy area, you'll find (reading left to right) a green heading with the word: "Stats." if you click on there, you'll find all the players listed who have scored points in the comp to date, from most to least, in order (the players are nominated by name, club, position etc.). This updates from game week to game week. It's a pretty good source of which player is doing better than others.
Now for the matter of bonus points - this is from the Help secion of the Fantasy site:
"The three best performing players in each match according to the Bonus Points System (BPS) will receive additional bonus points. 3 points will be awarded to the highest scoring player, 2 to the second best and 1 to the third.
Examples of how bonus point ties will be resolved are as follows:
Champion @full80 - hope that helps a bit.
- If there is a tie for first place, Players 1 & 2 will receive 3 points each and Player 3 will receive 1 point.
- If there is a tie for second place, Player 1 will receive 3 points and Players 2 and 3 will receive 2 points each.
- If there is a tie for third place, Player 1 will receive 3 points, Player 2 will receive 2 points and Players 3 & 4 will receive 1 point each."
But remember, this game is not a science, there's' no guarantees, and guess what: we're all in the same boat, ie a bit of knowledge, a bit of emotion following your favoured players and teams, and a BIG chunk of luck!
Enjoy all the weeks of this game as the season pans out.
