Game week 15 is now past tense, scores are in, and we're 39% of the comp down.
And yes, FPL still continues to tease and amuse and everything befuddling!

Well done everyone; no matter what your score was, it’s only the 15th week down of a long season, so onward and upwards from here.

But beware: the Game-weeks start to go rapid fire starting this week - so keep watch for when new game weeks start.

Just to recap:

First off, give yourself a big hand – you’re one of (already) a massive 12,621,834 players world-wide who have joined the EPL Fantasy Comps comp – WOW!!

Forum Classic League 2025/2026 - Leader board after Match Week 15

#1 Real SoSoBad (@vlad) remains our consistent outright leader with 890 points
#2 Too De Ligt to Quit (@Leica_Tiger) jumped a couple this week and is now in 2nd spot on 837 points
#3 Laroche (Tiger_one) slipped a tad down to 3rd position with 836 points
#4 Bon Vivant (Mrs tiger_one) also dipped slightly, down to 4th position with 833 points
#5 Slip Slot Slap (@WesternSuburbsBoy) holds a steady 5th spot, on 798 points
#6 Eze does it (@mtd#2) retains 6th position on 765 points
#7 Relegation FC (@Harvey) remains steady in 7th spot with 754 points
#8 Fleet Feet (@Criz) holds 8th position on 748 points
shading
#9 Delta Blues (@guyofthetiger) holds steady with a rising 744 points.

So BANG!!
Our leader board shows just how close the scores are, right down the ladder.
In an erratic scoring football round, where there were "goodies" and some "not so goodies" (and Salah missing yet again for Liverpool WOW!), our comp again highlights both how tough consistent scores are week in, week out, and the fickle nature of scoring points or not.
This round, our points spread was a low 32 up to a high of 56 points: well done to Delta Blues (@guyofthetiger) - so extra congrats to all our above-average (ie 49 points across the entire FPL comp) scores this week in a tough-to-predict week of scores.

Please check the Premier League Fantasy Website for full details.

Game week 16 kicks off early hours Sunday 14 December AEST, so remember to fix your teams before then.

And good luck everyone.

Finally, just as a tinsy incentive to maybe help, I will remind you that, coming up, is Sunday 14 December, the first day of Match-week 16. That day is also "World Choral Day" - and with a little poetic license, let's maybe (or maybe not!) sing from the (almost) same song sheet, picking defenders and attackers who score the high notes on our points tallies.

Having spent all that time pre-comp just to select the best players who might perform in this fantasy arena, then all the constant juggling/swapping in all the ensuing 15 match-weeks since, it sure can feel like our player choices need a revamp or two.

It's said that singing offers a range of benefits, including improved social and emotional well-being, higher self-esteem and better confidence. WOW! That sounds a lot like all of us when our fantasy scores drop our way. So maybe this is an omen for Match week 16.

So this week, maybe do what's needed, research etc., but simply follow your own tunes, and let the music lead you to crescendos of scores like none before.

The magic will happen.
The steps we take ensure it, point after point!
(Oh, if it was only that simple).

Forum H2H 25/26

Here, with this season’s H2H comp having 9 entrants, being a weekly format of mate against mate, we have 4 winners, with the other player against “ FPL average.”.

Congrats to Game week 15 winners, being Laroche, Slit Slot Slap (in an all-so-close one point margin over Real SoSoBad 47-46), Fleet Feet and Delta Blues, while Too De Ligt to Quit defeated the FPL average.

After Game week 15, the leader board now shows more change:
In a still-very congested leader-board, Laroche has skipped out to be a narrow sole leader with 33 points Eze does it now sits in clear 2nd position on 30 points
Real SoSoBad
remains outright 3rd position with 27 points
Followed by Too De Ligt to Quit on 25 points who just shades both Relegation FC and Slip Slot Slap, each with 21 points;
Then follows Bon Vivant on 18 points, from (rising) Delta Blues with 17 points,
And things remain tight all the way down to Fleet Feet on 16 points.
WOW!!

I know it's still relatively early days but this is amazing and shows just how tight our comp is.

So, after the team selections, the tinkering, and then the actual games – our comps are well and truly up and running, with actually 39% of the comp down.
And while our EPL games seemingly take preference, there's the added input for some teams to also have to balance extra games in the Champions League, Europa League, Carabao Cup etc., so players will be rested, injured, carded - all the things which mystify FPL players'

Flying mirrors our weekly efforts in FPL, we take off (ie select our teams), and then simply try to maintain our speed and altitude as the games pass like clouds. WOW! That sounds a lot like all of us with our fantasy scores dropping our way, as long as we avoid the turbulance of players being injured or replaced early, or even red carded! So maybe this is an omen for Match week 16.

So this week, maybe do what's needed, research etc., but simply maintain air-speed, follow your own flight plan, and let the blue PPL skies lead you to heights of scores like none before.

The magic will happen.

TEAMS TO TARGET
• Liverpool – Strong attacking run (TOT, WOL, LEE, FUL, ARS, BUR)
• Newcastle – Fixtures open up nicely (CHE, MUN, BUR, CRY, LEE, WOL)
• Arsenal – Balanced run with upside (EVE, BHA, AVL, BOU, LIV, NFO)
• Man City – Best overall run (WHU, NFO, SUN, CHE, BHA, MUN)

TEAMS TO AVOID
• Aston Villa – Fixtures turn nasty (MUN, CHE, ARS, NFO, CRY, EVE)
• Brentford – Momentum tested (WOL, BOU, TOT, EVE, SUN, CHE)
• Bournemouth – Very tough spell (BUR, BRE, CHE, ARS, TOT, BHA)
• Crystal Palace – Difficult mix (LEE, TOT, FUL, NEW, AVL, SUN)

BUY THESE PLAYERS
• Haaland / Foden – City assets exploding every gameweek
• Saka / Gabriel – Arsenal reliability during a decent run
• Liverpool attackers – Fixtures suit attacking investment
• Bruno Fernandes – Creative hub, high involvement, penalties & assists potential as fixtures
improve.

SELL OR AVOID
• Villa attackers — tough run limits upside
• Brentford attackers — fixtures restrict ceiling
• Bournemouth assets — survival fixtures, low FPL appeal
• Palace defence — too many difficult matchups

Finally, just as a tinsy incentive to maybe help, I will remind you that we're all sharing this period known as "the Festivus" - sure, it might be easily dismissed as TV fiction, created for Seinfeld fans to celebrate the created for Seinfeld fans to celebrate the "airing of grievances" and "feats of strength". and "feats of strength" and all that.

A deeper look actually reveals what each of us are doing as we compete week after week in our fantasy comp: We're going head to toe (metaphorically) one against the other, not just as our differing "feats of footy nous" against the 12 million odd players world-wide who play this fun game, picking defenders and attackers who score the highest, with our collective "airing of grievances" happening like clockwork after each game week.

Having spent all that time pre-comp just to select the best players who might perform in this fantasy arena, then all the constant juggling/swapping in all the ensuing 16 match-weeks since, it sure can feel like our player choices need a revamp or two.

Like the Seinfeld characters, we each throw our individual fantasy lines as part of our own scripts in our team picks; WOW! Fantasy football really is FUN!

So this week, maybe do what's needed, research etc., but simply maintain our sense of humour while "keeping it real", and let the scores become our ovation at the end of the matches.

The magic will happen.
The steps we take ensure it, point after point!

How to survive Christmas period - the FPL talking point

The crunch Christmas period is upon us. Gameweeks 18-21 will bring four deadlines in 11 days between 26 December and 6 January.

Expect heavy rotation, injuries, suspensions and continued absences due to the Africa Cup of Nations.

There is nothing to panic about though. This is the time that FPL managers who plan well, stay engaged with their teams and don't miss deadlines often gain in ranks and mini-leagues.
