He has only been the coach for a week but it didn't take him long to adopt the manly mantra of whining at every opportunity

SYDNEY Roosters will ask for a please explain over the number of five-day turnarounds they’ve copped as they join expressions of concern about next season’s NRL draw.
Roosters chief executive Brian Canavan said he was “mystified” by his side’s schedule which has them forced to back up in the space of five days four times in the first 20 rounds.
The Roosters join Manly who on Saturday voiced disquiet over their draw, saying their players’ welfare was being put at risk. **The Roosters, Sea Eagles and Wests Tigers all have four five-day turnarounds in the first 20 rounds.**
Canavan said his club would seek a meeting with the NRL this week for an explanation and to put forward their case.
“We’re going to question about how these sort of things have arrived,” Canavan said.
“We’ll seek a meeting with the NRL to give us an explanation because we are mystified.
“Our sport science people have done research on (player burnout).

“The other aspect is if you play a number of these games with five-day turnarounds the performance levels drop as well because the players just aren’t as energised or able to perform at their peak.”….............................
