Bathurst 1000 Question?

Is anyone currently watching Bathurst 1000 who knows much about car racing?
Id like to know why Graig Lowndes is currently coming 4th but is a heavy $1.30 favourite on TAB @ live betting?
 
It's all to do with pit stops….Lowndes and Besnard currently hold an advantage.....ie they are further up the road....

1st and 2nd...Lowndes is currently lapping faster than Besnard so in 30 laps or so he will pass him...

It was probably a stupid question but was just wondering, thanks for the help.
 
I'm a huge Ford fan boys! JC and Frosty are awesome. The thing that I hate about Bathurst is the long run, and even if your car is in the lead, don't be so sure.
 
Very intense finish here between Wincup and Lowndes, what does everyone think?
Im hoping Lowndes can hang on because I had some $ on him.
 
As a local Bathurst resident, the TV broadcast was 5 minutes behind the radio broadcast, what would have happened if you had your money on the TV telecast and it came down to the wire?.

It turned out to be a lot more then 5 minutes:

Channell 7 are a horror of a network….can not stand anything on that piece of crap station.

David Koch especially... actually everyone on sunrise is a jerk off.

Was a great race and deserved to be shown live.

I was loving the supercar format a couple of years ago, but geez I reckon it's got yawn factor now. There's just commodores everywhere and despite Courtney leading the champs it looked like the only contest yesterday was could the top 10 finishes all be Holdens?

Umm, it's actually V/8 Supercars so you have to have a V/8 to compete, not whiz bang turbos, good old V/8's, way back when 20 years ago a V/8 beat the Turbo Sierra and the Turbo Skyline but 99.9% of Aussies wanted to see Holden V Ford so they made it essentially an all Aussie Championship based loosely on the NASCAR rules, other makes can compete but choose not to.
