BEAU for FULLBACK

I think that Beau is the better fullback, he does'nt pass the ball like Moltzen. Hodgson believed that he would be the best man for the f/b position, so that's a pretty good recomendation. Nothing wrong with Mitch Brown as a winger, he's big strong and fast and seems to be settling in pretty well !

… Agree'd...

Yep, definately liking what I see in Beau at FB. Beau may be our saviour in our most unsettled position as of late!

Loved his performance yesterday. Looked as energetic at the end of the game as he was at the beginning, puts his body on the line, great under the ball and great talker. Got my vote for FB against the Cowgirls and the forseeable future just quietly.

What about his tackle in the first half on one of their big forwards?

It looked a certain try but it was a great one-on-one, ball in all driving tackle which caused the double movement.

That was, without a doubt, the best part of his game on Sunday. Great tackle that almost went unannounced by the chuckleheads on Channel 9.

we've found our full-back IMO. moltzen isn't a fullback anyway. 1,6,7,9 should look like this for the rest of the season:

1.ryan
6.marshall
7.moltzen
9.farah

no more robert lui

It was on Thompson their centre, but regardless…still a great one on one tackle with no room to move, he put his body on the line

He seemed to get found out a bit in D on the wing, sometimes quite a bit but I have always thought we are a better side for his enthusiasm and general attitude, he was always getting into dummy half and taking the odd hit up much like Lote is doing now. It's very pleasing to see him doing so well at FB, hopefully it means when we do have Tuiaki back on deck Beau retains his FG spot, he deserves it…and he is bloody funny to boot.

This is interesting. I actually thought one of the bonuses of Beau moving to fullback is that it cuts down on his dummy half runs which, in my view, were basically ineffective. Brown and Tuqiri make far more metres from dummy half.
