Beau Ryan

Beau is okay as a squad player in terms of depth but he shoukd NEVER be a first choice winger. In any event, I would much rather take a risk with anu exciting young kid than use 'solid' Beau.

The haters should re-watch this:

some of you need to get your heads in. The guy leaves nothing on the field.

Having Beau back in the team will lift the other 16, and slots in a reliable player when we are injured.

Underdog not knocking him as a player . He is shaky under high ball and a touch slow But his yardage is good . My issue is what he has done with the character on the show . I don't think he will ever get a hat trick in NRL but if he proves me wrong its a good thing for the Tigers and I will quite happily eat my words

The only thing surer than Beau copping a hammering from his detractors is that if he doesn't play and his replacement makes one slight error that the Beau Ryan ankle grabbing fan club will hammer them mercilessly. Let us hope neither groups get reason for any raised eyebrows on Friday night

😱pen_mouth: There's Ryan replacemement Haterz too?!?!?!?!?! :rant

I gotta pay closer attention!!!!

Yeah that got me too…..maybe Meaney has a hate club...

Anyway good luck Beau most awaited comeback since Fitzy...

Never really understood the Ryan hate.

Is he the best winger ever? …no,

Does he let us down?...sporadically,

Does he play his guts out for us?.....EVERY TIME.

Thats all I ask for.

Ryan's enthusiasm will be infectious out there.
He loves the Tigers.. First man in to congratulate someone on a try or a massive defensive effort is Beau.

I must say I used to not like beau either, but the commitment he showed to come back on the field when injured in that game against parra where tuiaki got taken out made me see him in a new light.
We needed him out there and he put his hand up and gave it his all.

Sure he might not be the quickest, he might make a misread in defense every now and then, and he might drop the odd towering bomb, but he gives his all, and that's all you can ask for when a player pulls on the team jersey.

I dont thnk alot of people have forgiven for kicking the football in the dying seconds against the dragons, it could have been interesting

No one has really said it, however, Beau probably would have been bundled into touch if he'd taken that tackle.

Although I disagree with him kicking the ball at that point, I can understand why he did it, and my guess is he probably was trying to hook the ball infield more than he did (the guy was off balance)

If the ball had gone infield, Fitzy would have been a better than even chance to become a hero and score under the sticks.

I suppose its the way they are coached to play that attacking brand of football sometimes it works for you, other times against you. This time it worked against us big time.

If we had have scored he'd be a hero. He had a split second to make a decision which didn't work out. I think people are hard if they hold a grudge over that but I'm sure some do.

Really, You're easily pleased. I would play my guts out as well. Can I get a guernsey?

This is my problem with Beau. He is just medicore.

If you think your first grade standard Southern by all means come to the trials…..

Beau isnt a flashy winger but for the most part he does his job. He makes good meters in attack and isn't afraid of a collision - he has managed to score a lot of tries where he has been belted in the process, yet continues to put his body on the line.

I'm not that easily pleased, but with the stock available, I'd rather he take the field than an unknown.

Stryker I am not first grade standard, thats my point. The fact that a player "tries" is not enough for me. Fitzy tried, Lee Murphy probably tried his best, Hassan Saleh etc.

Beau has had his good moments with the Tigers, and he is better than the three I mention above, but he still routinuely drops good balls with the tryline open, or simply fails to get in a position to take a Marshall pass.

I would rather give a young guy with potential, like Latu, a go then rely on mediocre Beau.

Give him a go…..its all a new season for Beau....good luck to him.

Couldn't agree more.. People have shot him down before hes even touched a ball this year..

Plus he might be stronger & faster this year 😛ray:

Give him a go he hasnt played a game this year & people are already shooting him down, everyone makes mistakes & maybe he will have a blinder, plus we are running out of troops.

Up untill now its been Fitzy, or Utai, Now its Beau, or Moltz or Dwyer, Wake up you clowns, Support this great team of ours , Try saying something constructive about the players not bagging them every chance you get, after all they are the ones out there, We are just spectators, Remember that, From where I sit the positives about each and everyone of these players far outweigh the negatives, So c,mon lets get together and all ride this wave of enthusiasm all the way to the big day in October, See you there !!!

I thought this was a discussion forum. The whole point is to give our views. I dont rate Beau and think another guy should be getting a go for the benefit of team. How is that not supporting the team?

It would be a pretty quiet forum if we didnt give our views on players.
