It didn't create more atmosphere though. It created less because it forced thousands of people to sit in the upper level of the western side. They didn't want to sit on the eastern side because of the sun. The northern end wasn't in the direct sun and I don't think the southern end was either. Cleaning costs? Well they should have the 2 ends open before they have the upper levels open. Stuff those stupid Steggles banners, they could have gone up top.

It does create more atmosphere because its jam packed. The problem with ANZ is the atmosphere because there is too much open space between supporters. The closer packed a crowd is the louder and more atmosphere there is. EG if there is 10 people in a bay by themself and they start a chant its more then likelly gonna stay them 10 people, if you start one in a bay thats full house there is alot more people to join in, there is a better buzz, feels more like a big game. Perhaps try sitting in a bay by yourself for a game and see how good the atmosphere is. The upper levels are more expensive, hence more money. The upper stand of the eastern stand is members. The west is a delux general admission at a higher price. The steggles banner cant go on the east because thats members, and its no point putting it on the west as it wont be seen on tv. Yeah I meant the atmosphere would be better if the ends and lower sides were packed instead of the upper sides.
