Bellamy ?

We should make inquiries and have a potential contingency for a 1 year caretaker, otherwise we wouldn't have considered all potential candidates. Saying that it is highly unlikely to happen.

break the bank if need be, This Guy is without a doubt the very best coach in the business

No, we need a coach now with the players we have. Its not a "gap year" situation by anyones imagination.

Sorry I don't think that is as black and white as you say. I think he probably is one of the great coaches but let's see how (if he ever has the guts to) he goes without a side that has the Australian fullback, halfback and hooker in it. At the moment I think Hasler has him covered. That Bulldogs side is full of reggies players, throwbacks and rookies and they went within a hair of winning it all after being first past the post. Bellamy was tearing his hair out when the Storm lost five on the trot. He also failed as the Blues coach.

So yeah, I'm reserving judgement on Bellamy until I see how he deals with a side that wasn't put together by cheating the salary cap. Right now he has one premiership. Sheens has four. Hasler has two. Bennett has a hundred.

We've already seen it, he did when he first got to the Storm almost 10 yrs ago.

We couldn't get him even if we wanted him he would command 1 million + on the open market warriors have that type of money as they are owned by millionaires, we can barely afford to pay sheens out let alone get Bellamy for a million

Why would Bellamy go anywhere ??

He has exactly what he wants where he is now

Why would he want to come to the Tigers and coach our bunch of crybabies

We need Bellamy , but Bellamy sure as hell doesn't need us

Exactly. Why would Belly Ache come to us? If he brought over Slater & Cronk then he'd have 2 reasons.

James Maloney tweeted yesterday that Bellamy would be at the Warriors in 2014\. If thats the case I think I like Folkes ahead of the rest. I would be most unhappy if we got Brown. No matter who we end up with it would not be long before there was a mega thread here dedicated to sacking our coach.

Maloney was kidding. I don't see Bellamy leaving Melbourne though.

On Fox Sports News last week they announced that Bellamy said the next contract he signs is likely to be his last before retiring. I find it hard to picture Bellamy leaving Melbourne, having said that he's got nothing left to prove or accomplish having won a "legitimate" competition this year.

Gee 'he is only 53 Bit young to start retiring

As the players say , you are retired a long time

I reckon he'd have at least 7 years left in him

Out of all the candidates mentioned I would back Potter to be the next Bellamy or Hasler.

And I can't see Bellamy ever coaching against Smith, Slater or Cronk at club level and they've got another 3-4 years left in them.
