Benj out for several weeks

I didn't know who we would put there but each of you have provided an option that has its own advantages.

I think Alexaki's is the likely scenario.

This could be a good chance to see if he hinders some of the plays. Hope its not a long injury, we still need him, but Potter can have a bit of a play. Come on Mr Potter, weave some more majic.

I hate that he's injured, but at the same time I'm curious to see how we go without him.

Lets say Benji's out for 3-4 weeks…

Gives us and Potter a real chance to see how we play without Benji dominating and I dare say stifling our attack(sometimes)....with Moltzen having Anasta outside of him Molzten could be the dominate one....if he plays well he could be our permanent #7...full of confidence in running the team around so that when Benji does return Moltzen would have the confidence to tell Benji how to play....As for Anasta he could be our 14?...but certainyl never in the pack again after what we saw tonight...

If we pick the B word ,he has combinations with Tedesco ,which will do wonders for both the B word and Tedesco's confidence

I think that Benji watching from the stands for a few weeks would help him immensely. Even a bog stock 7 will show how well we could go with playing the field percentages better alone, and allow him to be able to read his team-mates natural movements better to take advantage. He needs to learn to fold his hand when it isnt the best, instead of being the bloke who goes all in before seeing his cards.

Is there any reason for the long term prognosis? Is there info suggesting a real injury? or is this assumption based off tonights game?

If Benji is out for a few weeks i would like to see a spine of

1\. Tedesco
6\. Moltzen
7\. Anasta
9\. Farah

I liked Anasta at half tonight. He got in and barked orders and was calling for the ball he also helped stiffen up our left side D.

He is playing like garbage. Sorry but it is true. The magic is no where to be seen this year and the dumb plays keep mounting up. ANother 3rd tackle grubber tonight which went dead. Maybe it was a gutsy effort in the face of a bad injury and I give him credit for sticking it out. However his football is going backwards and has been for 18 months. A month on the sidelines will be good for him, might reinvent his desire for the game.

I'm not saying we will be better without him. However i think most people are CURIOUS to see how we will go without him and who might come out of our shell.

How does the b-man go in defense? My biggest issue with miller is his defensive reads. He does ok one on one in traffic but wider out he kept getting found out and it looked like teams were scoring at will by exploiting the gap either side of he and Lawrence.

With Anasta a better defender, maybe it wouldnt be a bad time for hooks (remember police academy?) to make his debut.

moltz and braith

tedesco to fb
nofu to wing
benji left in the lurch, with potter unsure where to play him because of how well we will play.

My first instinct is to say it is too early for Brooks but then again Benji himself went straight from school football to NRL. From what I've seen I'm not sure he's quite ready and Potter will probably opt for Miller or Moltzen (which makes some sense) but then again he's shown a willingness to give new guys a chance.

It will be interesting to see what Potter does should Benji miss sometime. You would assume that at the very least he will miss this week ahead. There's definitely some sense in moving Moltzen to 6 or 7 for the Dragons game but I do just wonder with the Dynamic changed, would Potter opt to recall Miller to 7 and shift Braith back to his more natural 6.
Now, remember Braith and Jacob already have a chemistry thanks to their time at the Roosters and if you want a combo which least distracts a team, then this is it.

Miller or Moltz in 7
Braith at 6 and Teddy at 1

Could be a good opportunity for Brooks to make his debut but then what happens to him once Benji is back?

Miller was only 17 when he was at the Roosters. There's no pre existing chemistry between the two.
