Benji - all class, but surrounded by prawnfish.

@tony-soprano - with all due respect Tony ...

If you think Pascoe is responsible for all those things, you are well off the mark.

@gallagher and do you Gal, consider that Pascoe has sacked these coaches and appointed others?

I myself would hazard a guess, it would have been a Board decision.

What's disappointing is they never looked like they wanted to win from the whistle.
There was no energy or enthusiasm in anything they did especially defence, I never saw them get off their line wanting to rip into Parra.
I was waiting for something to click and maybe we'd show some hunger and have a real crack but it just never happened.
If a milestone like Benji's 300th can't bring that out in them what will?

@TIGER yeah agreed. I watched them in the warm up and compared them with Parra at the end I was sitting. Def seemed like they had less energy.

It will have to be a huge recruitment drive for outstandeing juniors for next season. I cannot remember a situation where our talent in the lower grades has been so poor. It would be nice for someone senior from the club to issue a stat to supporters about how this will be addressed. I don't blame Maguire but those on the Board.

u can sum the game up to 2-3 sections, why the hell did we not put any pressure on moses, he had enough time to bake a cake, i dont think we hit him once.
our forwards hit the line like paper soliders, parra ran so much harder than our blokes.
in defence we stood back and waited for the parra players to come to us.
only good point was when we throw the ball around we looked good.

@momo_amp_medo Pascoe is doing well imo. How he's managed to get our finances heading in the right direction, assist in the COE as well as secure major sponsors is a huge effort. If I had a business, I wouldn't sponsor a sporting team like WTs that plays consistently less games than other teams every year (ie finals football). Other than the Farah saga which we won't get into, Pascoes biggest mistake was giving Ivan full control of building the squad build, which we will suffer with for the next few years. Anyway, hopefully Madge has a magic wand and can weave some magic and give the playing group a solid off season.

Didn't he fly to NZ to have a meeting with Maguire about coaching us? Of course he's involved with the coaching appointments. What do you think a CEO does? He doesn't just sign off on things as jirksr suggests.

@bptiger we did put pressure on Moses... but what we did after the pressure just made what we did useless, majority of the times moses kicked, someone would rush up and he would so easily get around them with a step. We would just run at him and just stop.

@gallagher You are right he did.

I would still suggest the Board said, "you know this guy, go offer him x amount of dollars, tell him he can bring his son to the Tigers etc. on our behalf and do your best".

But no - the board just hands it's power over to a CEO - yeah! right.

So what's his role then?

@TheDaBoss I’m a cut snake today, it’s not just the refs and BankWest but how bad I feel for benji and doubt Robbie will fare much better if he’s against Canberra next week

Can't access the article on dt site. From the first line though, it says..

Wests Tigers coach Michael Maguire wants Benji Marshall back next season. Marshall reckons he could play on, too. But he won't commit just yet.
