Benji Backs Young Ace Brooks To Measure Up

Yay. Another young halfback we can ruin. Better not stuff this kid around, Bennett has been sniffing around him for a while.

CB - Name one young halves player that we have let go that has turned out to be something good elsewhere???

Miller had the opportunity and couldn't make it work under two different coaches. Just look at the young halves at other clubs that hit the ground running - Sezer, Reynolds, Cherry-Evans. They didn't take a season to get themselves up to it.

At the same time as blooding a new 7 - Potter has got to make it clear to Benji that he isn't a halfback and although Sheens tried to make him think he was - he is a 5/8 and needs to give the first received gig up for the sake of the team.

The team needs both Robbie and Marshall to actually do less - while others lift their involvement up to balance out the side.

10 games is enough for him to at least show glimpses of his potential. I wish the kid well in the UK, but he was flat, always… as a young guy he would have been looking for a long contract, and we have an option that may grab the opportunity and run off with it. The choice was long sign and block with Miller, or back the upcoming options. No matter how average Brooks may be, he doesnt have to aim high to reach the lofty precedent set by Miller.

Thats how I see it.

Miller and Sirro were tagged as the best halves combo in the u/20s last year,Miller had some chances but never stood out in FG,he may make it in time put at present he is no great loss.Sirro imo
doesn't run the ball enough for a player of his size,his involvement is also limited so i have reservations about him being a dominant forward on what i have seen so far.

Sirro is playing at 6 and all he DOES is run the ball. He doesn't pass enough is his real problem. If he developed a late pass he could be a bigger version of Brad Fittler.

He doesn't have Freddy's step , speed or kicking game in my opinion
