'TIS the season to get married, or so it seems with three of Sydney's high profile couples tying the knot since the new year.
Tigers football star Benji Marshall wed long-time girlfriend Zoe Balbi at Byron Bay's Visionnaire Estate yesterday afternoon while Home and Away stars Rebecca Breeds and Luke Mitchell opted for the peaceful surrounds of Kangaroo Valley.
And former Miss Universe Rachael Finch married professional dancer Michael Miziner at a private mansion in Woollahra on Friday.
All three couples are understood to have taken advantage of lucrative magazine deals, selling the rights to their weddings to the highest bidder.
To keep their deals safe, Balbi and Marshall and Breeds and Mitchell took their weddings out of town to secluded properties surrounded by thick bushland.
Balbi wore two different Steven Khalil gowns for her wedding in front of about 120 family and friends, including close gal pals model and TV presenter Jesinta Campbell, radio host Maude Garrett and American track and field Olympian Allyson Felix.
Marshall's football mates including Beau Ryan, Chris Lawrence, Robbie Farah, Bryce Gibbs and Chris Heighington were also there. Pop singer Stan Walker performed.
Down south, Breeds and Mitchell had a more low-key affair at the Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat.
The wedding has been months in the planning and it is understood the pair wanted to celebrate their big day outdoors with friends and family.
Retired footballer Jason Stevens MC'd the reception, attending with wife Bec.
Also set to marry this year are model and TV presenter Erin McNaught, who recently became engaged to British DJ Example, and David Jones ambassador Samantha Harris.
