Words cannot express my hatred for him Smeg. I cannot help but launch into hysterics any time that miserable bastard has a cry on or off the paddock. Had a mighty good gut laugh when Parra were penalised on their own goal line and he carried on like a pedantic child in front of Jared "Bellyache" Maxwell.

Webster is a typical Dragons fan who thinks the league revolves around the red V. What's worse is he is in a position to advertise it to the gullible public.

It was a stupid question and Benji gave them as stupid answer. It's funny, people cry out for players with a bit of personality. When one of them comes along they get cut down for it. Benji is one of few players I can watch in an interview for an extended period, most players will say the same thing.

couldn't believe anyone would write such a parochial, unprofessional article?! from all accounts marshall has carried himself with aplomb and i thought the "lets play rugby league" statement was all class and the question about marshall's on field job ludicrous and handled perfectly.

Have a read of the Herald article. Completely different angle on Marshall's comments. It is tall poppy syndrome by the Terror, pure and simple.

I thought his comment, "let's play rugby league" was brilliant. Effectively, it abruptly ended the plaintiff's 15 minutes of fame and put the rugby league public's focus primarily where it should be - the football field.

great post. i personally never read any papers or watch any news. a lot of people think i am stupid for this, but i think 90% of society takes as gospel anything in black and white and doesn't give a second thought to having an objective look at what is reported.

over here in WA we have ONE newspaper! your post perfectly illustrates the need to have more than one source for anything we hear as with a monopoly on such an omniscient information resource the masses will believe anything and everything this solitary source provides.
