Benji Marshall

He might be a freak, but he's not a class halfback nor 5/8\. Lacks a kicking game, sidesteps gone and also a liability in defence. He'll never mature. Robbie needs a halfback.

Rattled by injuries I thought we were very brave tonight. But I thought Benj was disgraceful, an elite player cannot trot that garbage up. The shocking kicks, the pass to nobody on tackle 1, no chase on the last try. I love the guy but he needs a good kick in the ass after that. When you get Iosefa and Bell on modest contracts busting their backsides he should have got us over the line. But he didn't step up for us…...again. And short drop outs, gimme a break Champ.

For me the bloke is living in the past ok let's get 1thing straight I love the bloke as a 5/8 creating space for the outside backs but he is no more a number7 than me and I retired 20 odd years ago. And let's be honest sheens isn't going to give any of our young halfs a decent go. The coach has lost us that many games this year throu his selections of players out of position, watch for Farah to be named at half this weekend it's no wonder miller will pack his bags and leave memo to sheens you got to give the kid a go at least he is a genuine no 7 and get Marshall back to where he belongs at 6… ..........

For godsake Benji run the ball to the line and have a go, I getting tired of saying it, the past four games you have shown complete lack of desire, something is not right.

I'm lost for words! so i'll just say what i always say until i see different and that is, he's a great touch football player, that's all he is and will ever be.

Kicking game was terrible. In the second half we needed to play for field position and he'd put up bombs that go 10m instead of pinning the Cowboys down in the corners. Shows the difference between him being an off the cuff 5/8 or a mature, organising halfback

Benji is having an ordinary year TBH…whether is because he is frustrated and playing out of position or because he is not getting the support he needs...he is having an ordinary year...those mid field bombs are s*it

I'm forever greatful to Marshall for the most beautiful flick in history in a NRL grand final & help bring us our first premiership. Raudonikis could not do this & was he as talented as Benji. Benji is a legend forever and a Wests Tigers legend. Yes it hurts to watch him lately but in my life the premiership memory will never be repressed unlike his mistakes. He talks like Cooper Cronk on the footy show but he sure plays like Benji. A gentleman of the game. Glad he's with us.

Cant believe it was only 2 seasons ago he got the golden boot award

This year, he is playing with tired legs…..maybe moving in with his girlfriend is making his knees weak

I love the guy but watching him play and hoping for something to happen every time he touches the ball, but ending up with errors and bad kicks, has done it for me. We need to replace him, seriously, replace him with someone is who is interested, someone who can tackle, and someone who wont just give up the ball because he is too scared to get tackled

I have a life Bundy Boy and it certainly does not hinge on Wests Tigers losing. And I stopped using a Bundy machine in the 60's. Are you in anyway related to Al Bundy. There's a resemblance. You sound like a good kid but you can't seem to express yourself and take your anger out on another forum member. Now I'm listening, I'm a fair person - do you have anything constructive to say? I'm listening brother.

What a horrible post. I am angry about the loss tonight but posts like this make me even angrier.

His defence actually wasn;t too bad tonight, especially for the first 50 or 60 minutes. At least one try saving tackle and a couple of good one on one hits.
With ball in hand however he has proved, once again, that he is not, in any way, a 7 or even a half decent organising playmaker. And he did look absolutely exhausted in those last 20 minutes especially. He was the same last game too. Something is definitely not right. He needs a few weeks off but won;t get it.
