Benji Marshall's debut | Wests Tigers v Newcastle Knights, Round 20, 2003

How good would it be to have a youth player come through and electrify our attack like that again.
Couple of observations;
1. you could see the embryonic development of the tigers 2005 attacking prowess. Lots of ball movement. Players in motion and running into gaps. Heaps of support play. Attack from anywhere on the field
2. benji is not only the greatest wests tigers player ever, he was a generational player. one of the best 5 footballers of his generation.
3. How good was Ben Galea! Doesn't rate too many mentions these days but he, Lafranchi and Liam Fulton were great small forwards.
4. Fitzhenry is a great example to our current crop - if you are not blessed with elite talent, speed, explosive power or athleticism, you can still back up! DH scored enough tries by just being the guy backing up at the end of a break. How many of our current line breaks end with the guy who made the break dying with the ball because there is no one pushing up the middle in support.
