I've been saying this for a long time now….. As long as Benji is at our club, we will be dreadful!

A lot of you 'yes men' will continue to disagree but he is nothing hit of disgraceful!

He can tackle, he makes more errors than anything else and has such a negative influence on young halves that are coming through its not funny..

I can't believe we are looking to re-sign him again.

Go away! Please just go away!

Many of you were justifying him being here by saying our attack looked out of sort without him but you have short memories. Remember all the stuff ups he does for goodness sakes....

Yes, we had a weakened side tonight but that was terrible. We will dead set come last.

What about our recruitment? Anasta? Pettybourne? Thompson? An Richards coming back? Are they serious?

I'd rather give all our youngsters a go and rebuild than get these guys.... Get rid of Benji and use that money to sign 2 marquee players and bring up juniors state same time!

Our club is one of the worst run clubs in the comp. Humphreys, just walk away. It's your fault we're STILL paying Sheens. He should have never been signed again when you have him a new three year deal!

Terrible club terrible team terrible Benji!!!!

Benji's defense used to be exclusable because of how good he was in attack, but the past 18 months he has been absolute shit in attack and worse than usual in defense. He also seems to be getting worse at an accelerated rate.

The club really has to re assess how much he really is worth ..I would sign him no problem ..but defiantly not at the asking price , the club should be careful IMO.

I don't know what the rush was to re-sign him nobody wants him and if they do in my opinion they can have him . He is known for 1 thing and that was the 05 flick pass.

Benji has 3 options really…

1\. Keep believing his own hype... and self coach
2\. Take on honest criticism and coaching, make the most of the tapes and coaching staff to utilise his skills which are still there but learn to implement the better.
3\. re-discover the fire. Probably includes alot of number 2.

This is very accurate from what I have heard from a highly regarded player agent.

Whilst I am not ready to write his worth off to the team, normally players jump out of their skin to prove their worth for a contract renewal. In this case we have a year for him to come good yet we are ready to throw the chequebook at him this early before he shows any sign of coming good. Surely the carrot could be extended for the rest of his contract term to see him regain his form before putting pen to paper?

He is not a halfback yet everyone thinks they can make him one. He is a ball running 5/8 who needs a controlling half inside him. He had one in 05 and killed the comp. He had one in 10 and 11 and played well winning the golden boot and the world cup. When he doesn't have one he struggles yet his coaches do stuff all about it.

Indeed Stryker, he forces his hand too often at first receiver, and doesnt sell his high stakes style by playing through the hands and choosing his options. He reads too many papers and doesnt watch enough tape.

Stop living in the past far out….
Marshall WAS dynamite and he has done plenty in the years more than a 05 flick pass BUT he is pathetic now and has had plenty of time to sought himself out.

He's not worth the money. JT is, cam smith is, cooper Cronk is. Marshall is not.

Yeh cause Jonathan thurston uses that excuse when he has performed year in year out in great and horrible sides.

Benji isn't a five eight or halfback. He should be playing centre or fullback. He started his career in the centres and I'm positive he should finish it there.

Marshall is not worth what he wants. Why rush to sign him doesn't he have another year after this year left. Marshall is not consitent enought to be amongst the highest players in the game unless we pay him a $750,000 to $1,000,000 per year and have him under our cap at $250,000 to $300,000 per year like the Broncos did with Lockyer. If we cant do that don't sign him to a long term deal it will hurt our squad too much. I sadly think Benjis best years are in the past.

And when we do stick a half back inside him , him and Farah do everything in their powers to destroy them

Forget the excuses , he is ready to be served

Marshall needs to go. There's nothing else for it. If we sign him to another long contract we're going to lose Moses or Brooks and we can't afford to. Those two are a dead set dynasty in the making. Moses is what Marshall was 10 years ago and Brooks will be his Prince. We need to bring them up together. Keep them together. They have been halves partners for a long time already and it would be so awesome to have a combination like that in our side. They are almost ready. At the rate Moses is carving up NYC and Brooks seemingly has the WT 7 jersey all but on his back already we could see them both in the NRL by Round 1, 2014… but not with Marshall around.

Yeah im over benjis bonehead plays…ive heard all the excuses...its just not good enough...any coach would be scared to sack him in fear of reprisal...honestly I think he would have a big sook and leave if dropped to the nsw cup.

Hes our marquee player and we should be expecting alot more off him

I dont know why you are comparing the great JT to Marshal for…JT is by nature a scheming controlling halfback who dictates play through his superior kicking game and knowing when to run and when not to. Benji is the polar opposite. Benji requires someone like JT to do ALL of that stuff so that he can inject himself when the half allows him. He needs a halfback to say 'right the platform is layed, get us some points'. That is all he has ever been good for.

As I said before, when Prince did the hard work for him, Benji was unstoppable. When Lui managed to do most of it, again Benji became a weapon. He can not do this stuff himself as it is not in him. It is as clear as day and has been since 2007.

He IS NOT a halfback
He IS NOT a fullback
He IS NOT a center
He IS NOT a traditional 5/8 either

His only use to us is as an attacking weapon. So either buy him a bloody experienced halfback or let him go.
