Benji shouldnt be at #6 or #7 next year

Taking all of the emotion out of it, he is too much of a liability now. I honestly believe we would be better without him now.

Funnily I am just as dissapointed tonight as I was at Penrith Park when he did his shoulder that night. Same feeling but for the opposite reasons.

What about the money he brings onto the club just for being Benji Marshall. Lote is the same. They are marketable.

I once walked into a house whilst working and all 4 kids were in Tigers PJ's or shirts. I mentioned to the parents that they must be massive Wests Tigers fans. They replied that neither of them were, but the kids love the tigers because they follow Benji Marshall.

we need him, we just need someone to work out the best way to use him!

TUQIRI MUST BE PUNTED PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZE :imp:

I WOULDN'T TAKE HIM FOR FREE

I WILL BUY HIS FAREWELL CARD

I JUST WANT HIM OUT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TIGERS RECRUITMENT ARE YOU CRAZY, STUPID OR BOTH?

I don't believe some of these posts …. We've got a dearth of halves as it is and there are some here suggesting we punt the one quality 6/7 we do have. Benji and Robbie would take up the bulk of every oppositions attention each week - he has no foil whatsoever - and when he can't conjure miracle after miracle - some of you miserable bastards want to offload the guy. The guys a club legend and deserves to be considered with a tad more respect.

I also totally agree with bp tiger - Newcastle half Roberts is a star of the future - not sure Bennett would let him slip however

A world class player who would be snapped up if he went on the open market and some of you want to let him go, even think we would be better of without him.

Benji is one of the most entertaining players in the game, and with a decent half next to him one of the most feared attacking players in the game. Admittedly he has had a poor year, but outside of Ryan and Utai all our backs have been poor. Maybe one day Sheen's will get that Benji is a better 5/8 than half.

Yes move the player with the most try assists and line break assists from the halves

stats alone are not a true reflection of the situation.

also i havent suggested ANYWHERE we let him go, just change positions to better utilise his assets. also take away that dependency the players put on him to create something. 6\. sirro 7\. moltz

It's this simple, when has Marshall played his best football?

When he has had a halfback to take away some of the pressure.

Exactly. As for marketable, that stops pretty damn quick if you're not winning.

X3\. To much expected to much pressure. We need a half back "…... 😛ray:

Lets try Anasta at 7 - he's an organiser and has a cool enough head to make the solid play when necessary. He'll also have the on-field presence to overcall Benji when needs be and means we won;t look like headless chooks when Farah's not available.
Marshall 6 - where he can play his natural game rather than completely doing his head in by trying to be an organiser and controller - something he is not, was not and never will be.
Sirro 13 - unfortunate for him but there is no way Benji can be left at 7.

Unfortunately unless sheens goes, Benji will be forced to stay at 7 and one of the great talents of this footballing generation will make himself look more and more ordinary. This mess is COMPLETELY sheens' fault.

edit - all assuming we don;t buy a decent 7 or that someone like Miller, Humble, Chisolm etc. doesn;t actually stand up over the off-season.

And for those saying that Benji shouldn't be in the halves because he is not an organizer only a ball runner - complete garbage. You don't need your 5/8 to be an organizer if your halfback does it: look at Brett Kenny, Peter Jackson and there are heaps of others that were great despite their inability to direct the team around the park.
