Benji signs with Auckland Blues

Well I guess this gives me a good reason to watch a game of rugby,

Im interested to see how he goes, especially after he has played so poorly for us.

Good. Please, Benji, withdraw yourself from the team now otherwise not even the memory of 2005 will salvage your reputation in my eyes if you keep dishing up shit.

Good luck to him.

Pity his situation as he can't even help himself right now on how bad he's going, and I don't think Yawnion will help that.

I just cant believe any side going near him with a barge pole.Magic in his day,but that was two years ago and his form has been dropping like a ton of bricks ever since. Dont know the guy,but he strikes me as really nice bloke,so all the best and I hope it ends up being a smart call and thanks for all the magic over the years

The Auckland blues will not be paying big bucks , but they'll promote him big time and make millions out of him .benji needs to drop a stone and a half and work on his speed before he will go close at making an impact in rugby ..and somebody will have to teach him how to kick .good luck to him , I'm probably going to take an interest in the Auckland blues now he has signed .the club won't drop him ,he still as a milestone to reach 200 first grade games .

I think he might do well. He and potter obviously don't click I think a different coach would see him play incredibly again

I was just hoping Benji would see out the year and then name his intentions once the season is over… This isn't a going to another club scenario, this bloke is walking out on his signed agreement. This is the choice he has made, and now it looks like he is going to a different code?!

For the life of me, what I cant fathom is why the Wests Tigers have not put a stop to all this rubbish... The trip to Auckland last week was mind boggling, now followed by an announcement of his intentions to sign with a rival code. Who is running this club and why are they not protecting the club from a commercial aspect.

I wish Benji well in his future endeavours, but seriously, the NRL must be livid this announcement has been allowed to happen?!

Well, good luck to him, but given his form, I'm honestly surprised anyone would have signed him up.

Wish he would step down or do something though, can't believe how bad he's playing.

Sunday afternoon Benji certainly looked far away and with other more important things on his mind. Now I know why. All the best Benji 2005 will always stay in my memory.
