It's still listed as a decision to be decided by the State Govt under the planning laws. Although O'Farrell got rid of part 3A, he made a list of developments that would still be decided by the State Govt.
The ball is currently in the developers court, Rozelle Village. I suspect the current state of the economy is actually what is delaying things at the moment.

Do you mean funding pp ?? That might be right. Considering Max Delmege has lost squillions and he has been a partner of Benny in the past.

Mate I was just purely speculating. I know a bit about poker machine revenue and I would have thought geographically speaking that would be a good location to be raking in the dollars. I am not a member and am not privvy to any factual data so I have no reason to not believe you.

It was an icon…and it is sad...there was a famous photo of some bloke in a hat (Latchem Robinson:??) outside the club with the pouncing tiger neon sign in the background, so very 60's....always liked it.
A part of mine and my sons life, my dad, stepmum...friends.

I wanna see balmain still be around. I wish it was happening to parra or something instead of the great BALMAIN…..

I sorta recall that part of the proposal was that there was to be the Metro link train station built under the complex but when Kristina Kenealley's former government canned the development then other factors came into play.
The train station was to be a major part of the project but with it's dumping external factors came into play and have hindered the developers no end, yes it will end in litigation that could have been avoided.
