Best debut at Leichhardt??

Sorry guys, but I go back a long way, and Arthur Beetson, the best forward to ever play the game, would have that honor! Simply devastating!

More importantly - can he do it next week if selected.

You just know there is a real shocker in him dont you. Ivan summed it up in the post match press, saying when he gets the ball both coaches hold their breathe. He has always been more of a centre IMO. Hopefully he can limit his mistakes. The big key will be our forwards. Mahe will be found out defensively if we are getting dominated in the middle, but if we win the ruck, he will smash blokes.

KS 100 % right

My concern if teams can maintain pressure on us with him in the centres , especially if he had a Ponga /Tedesco /Dufty attacking him and throwing in a change of pace

Yeh those type of players will destroy him if we are on the back foot. That being said, those guys will destroy anyone.

Yep. Would be a good laugh watching any of those 3 blokes trying to stop Mahe when he is charging at them. What goes around comes around.

Ellery Hanley had a big game on debut. Got the ball ran 20 metres backwards in a long curving run, straightened left hand fend and he was gone. No one played like that at the time….breathtaking sight from the hill.

Tedesco's debut was memorable…

Didn't he do his ACL in the first three minutes? That's a bit below the belt if that's what your referring too.

I think he broke the line with his first carry and did his ACL straight after or during.

I thought he played the first half and it happened just after or just before half time.

Yeah he'd been looking really good and then bang he went down. It was at least 20 minutes in.

If he hit them once with the type of tackle he put on Morgan they might reconsider running at him.
