My favourite is Jamie Lyon he is underrated and a great leader but Cameron Smith is the best player in the NRL right now IMO he is great leader and and just always makes Storm games exciting to watch.

It's a tight squeeze between Inglis or Thurston or Smith, but I think GI will go to another level in 2013.

inglis has a better defensive and attacking game than robbie.. robbie wouldnt even be in the top 5.
for me i think slater. that guy is just a freak at defending and attacking and can perform week in week out at the highest standard. i think he is better than cronk and smith coz he can react on the spot whereas the other 2 are more textbooky.
inglis tends to switch off too much, but that guy is a freak too.
thurston imo tends to choke under pressure.. i've just seen it twice, so probably not enough to say that. idk there is something about thurston that irks me, completely personal this choice.
gallen would also come close but nowadays his coaches force him to do too much quantity rather than quality.
i havent seen much of matt scott's defensive game to rate him on that tbh.
i will include barba in the top peeps if he maintains his form for the next year or two.
1 guy i rate highly is jarry hayne. im hoping he picks up from 2009 next year. i love watching him play.. he is one of the best athletes in the game plus has a tremendous understanding of the game as well.. this guy is the freakiest of them all.

He has played with Slater ,Lockyer ,JT and Cronk in SOO
And played with the same at National level
Gallen plays for the Sharks who most seasons he has been there they have been woeful and he has been a standout
At SOO he plays with players not much better than the club level players he plays with and looks like the best forward on the ground
And plays like a machine for Australia and looks like the best forward on the ground
There is very little between the two honestly

Cam Smith is my pick. May not be the flashiest, fastest player, but he gives 120% each game, he's game smart, thinks on his feet, inspirational, super fit and tough as they come. Farah is a similiar mould, but still a bit off the pace of Smith. He's a freak.

I voted for Greg Inglis. IMO he was more dangerous than Slater at the back in Origin III. Since he's moved to fullback its just made him so much more involved in the game. Such a dangerous player to have in your side.
