Best Player So Far

Who do you think the best player in NRL is right now…..I would have to say either Todd Carney or Paul Gallen both great Carney is in great form at 5/8 so is Gallen at Lock

Hard to disagree with that. Can't forget about Slater either, scoring a lazy 10 tries in 5 games. Certainly quietened down a few on here who spruiking up Ryan's chances of being top try scorer after only about 2 weeks

Thats interesting. Theres only one Paul Gallen, the guy is a dead-set freak, but Woods has a pretty high work-rate and has a great ability to bend the line and carry players. I realy think the kid is going to be a superstar and it wouldn't surprise me to see him develop into a player where his level is not far off

Gallen and Slater are on fire, I'd have them level pegging for different reasons.

Personal opinion is you can't say " who is the best player ", then pick forwards and backs.
Gallen is the best forward going around, and Slater the best back, but then you'd have to say Carney in the halves.
The games are vastly different for positions.
As far as inspirational players go, Gallen must rate at the top, but then a piece of Slater magic also inspires. I would hate to give any one single player the mantle of " Best Player ".
