My favourite lyric in a song?

"The world is full of kings and queens who blind your eyes and steal your Dreams it's Heaven and Hell"

The blisteringly powerful voice of former Rainbow lead singer Ronnie James Dio fronting Black Sabbath after Ozzy got the sack. Ronnie was chief song writer on the album "Heaven & Hell" as well as "The Mob Rules"

Fun fact Ronnie was the voice behind "Love is All" aka "Butterfly Ball" the hit song from the animated movie "The Butterfly Ball & Caterpillar Picnic" whose music was composed by Deep Purple bassist Roger Glover. The ABC would often play "Butterfly Ball" between kids shows on weekends back in the 1980s.

Another favourite of mine is the line "How can we win when fools can be Kings?" by Muse in their song Knights of Cydonia".

These themes being a snap shot of a politically polarized world where dangerous idiots like T -rump can be "Kings" and you have powerful "Queens" like Gina Rinehart who have such power and influence over people with total disregard & disdain for the working class.

This post could beat all records, everyone have a few lyrics from songs that have stuck with them through their journey of live for many different reasons, good,bad,happy or sad. Being a person born in the early 50s I was so fortunate to have been part of the 60s 70s and 80s music culture . I guess the young kids today are also passionate about the music and the story it tells that they listen to.

When I was a kid we did not have Facebook TikTok instagram or any social media to influence us, we had Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones, the Beatles and countless others who through their music and lyrics got us asking questions about everything.
