Big Props

I rate Shackleton; I reckon he's a goer; way better than Poore imo.

Runs straight & hits hard.
GET HIM!

A couple of the St. George younger brigade are being looked at I believe. The lure is not so much the money but a starting place in first grade.

I must admit that I do not know much about the Saints reserve grade or bench players.

Grant Jones was on WTV saying the Dragons NYC forward pack is pretty strong. Might be a couple of players in their NYC squad the Tigers are looking at.

Maybe if Bennett releases some of the knights forwards we could sign them. Antonio Kafusi, Richard Faaoso and there is another I cant think of at the moment.

i think you will hear soon that we are talking with manly to swap kg for kite and rose

That would be an air-swing!
Martin Kennedy would be a good addition (though costly). Seeing as it appears having a contract for next year doesn't proclude player movement it would be good to look at Mose Masoe, 22 yo, 6ft 3in and a 115kg

Mickey Paea would be a good pickup. He'll probably get bounced by the dogs at the end of the season and could be picked up for a reasonable price. Runs like a demon whenever he gets a chance in first grade.

A possibility could be Korbin Sims, currently at the Knights and is off contract, plays prop and second row. Saw him run around for the Knights U'20s against us, pretty handy ball runner with an offload, looked strong in defense too

If we are talking to the Saints- Jon Green?

If Sheens just wants size- he only has to look to the youth in the club already- a quick glance at the player profiles shows a number of the youngsters already bigger than some of our top graders.

If we are indeed talking with the Saints it won't be with Jon Green - he signed for next season with the Sharks

Merrin would be alright at a cheap price. He looked like a world beater against us, but is easily contained against other packs.

Is Martin Kennedy off contract this year? The guy has mongrel about him and isn't afraid to run hard and straight.

I am fairly sure this is a lot of what he is thinking as he has made sure we have some big juniors coming through especially Groat, BMM and Begovich

I want a wrecking ball with no feeling and an agro/mongrel attitude someone real mental looking maybe half an ear missing, scars and tatts on his face, doesn't even matter if he can't speak, just grunting will do. Someone that you can upset real easily just by making up a story, fill him full of red bull and let him go berserk for 20 min until he drops, like the big indian from One flew over the cuckoo's nest but angrier and on ice. There must be a jail or mental asylum/church somewhere where you can find these type of people surely.

Martin Kennedy would definitely NOT be cheap. He's worth more than Fifita that's for sure.

Read in RLW about Ray Cashmere and my eyes lit up. Dude is 31, started late so would likely have more years left in him. Has been slaying the ESL (a softer league) for years now. He'd probably last til he's 36 and he's very big… he also said he wants back to Sydney, and he is a Maggies junior. If Sheens is looking for a big front rower, then there's one that will walk back into the fold with absolutely no hassle. Throw him $150K and he'll come to the party I reckon.

Ray Chashmere…... I hope if we go external we go better than Cashmere

I think the big props he is turning to are Groat, Bergovich, and BMM

they would be mad if they flicked Fifita to buy cashmere

Cashmere is really good and you are underrating him severely. The dude is capable of big minutes, is a BIG guy and runs straight (which Fifita doesn't do). He'll also charge us chicken feed if we get in with an early offer and is a Maggies junior.
