Humpty didnt lie… He just didnt tell you the full story!

Well that's just as deceitful as far as I'm concerned.

Stringing along the paying fans for months on end.

bahaha… thats like complaning about the local Steakhouse changing the T-Bone to a Rib Eye... "for all these years I've been eating a T-Bone, and now they have changed it..."

Grow Up... You have NO RIGHTS to know what is going on behind the scenes of the Club unless you are an Investor/Sponsor!

Doesn't the membership fees I pay qualify me as investor / shareholder?

But if they were still selling it as a T-Bone I'm pretty sure I'd be able to take them to court for misleading information.

Also, as I am not a child, you have no right to tell me to 'Grow up', kind of an immature comeback actually so maybe you need to heed your own advice.

But as a member of the club I probably **am** entitled to know what's going on the at the club i.e. public record and freedom of infomation just like any corporation that has shareholders. i.e. If I enquire I should be able to get access to Annual Reports, minutes of club meetings, attend the AGM etc.

Or if I wanted to become and investor / sponsor I'd think that I would be able to get access to the clubs financial records etc to determine if was worth investing.

The only person who has 'NO RIGHTS' is you acting as a bully behind your moderator status on a supporters forum FFS - like that makes you high and mighty.

I'm only guessing here, but I'm presumming you are not a member of the WT as it is a company limited by shares. You might have a season ticket though, but that gives you no rights to know what is going on behind the scenes…. It gives you the right to turn up whenever your season ticket lets you! :unamused:

It clearly states what you get for your money in the membership brochure. I can't remember reading that I'm entitled to know the ins and outs of the club in the brochure I read when I signed up as a member.

No, the membership fees qualify you as a member of a glorified fan club.

Wests and Balmain are the owners of the JV. Sponsors are the investors, and I imagine they will even be kept in the dark regarding most in-house issues.

I didnt realise that reality was THAT bad. Then again, I've never been for advocating conspiracy theories, lies and espionage just to make my life that little bit more interesting.

So you would want to sacrifice the clubs advantage of keeping things quiet and leading other clubs off the trail, so that we can sign the right players at the right price, just for your own self-interest?

I'm guessing you don't run a business.

Fair play to you sir. Anyway back on topic, I can't see how the signing of Blair will rectify obvious issues within the playing group and miraculously make everyone happy again.

I will reiterate that the dealings of Mr Humpty over the past few months have left a sour taste in my mouth. I'm sure I'm not alone in my thoughts. In my eyes, he just comes across as a high class used car salesman

I think changing from a culture of buddy buddy mates in each others pockets to one of professional sportsmen is a great thing

Despite what his detractors say, I think Humphries is doing an outstanding Job as CEO.

We have only been moderately successful as a football team in his time as CEO, but we have increased revenues substantially in his time as CEO, put into place an extremely effective junior development system, we have managed to develop a good squad that started the season as second favourites for the premiership. He cant control our underperformance.

People complaining cause there is to much orange in the jersey and alike, unbelieveable.

We sign one of the best forwards in the game and supporters complain.

People on one hand say we cant lose these juniors they need a go, than complain when release some players in order to make room in the cap and squad for them.

You cant have everything.

I reckon there is bloks on here that would go on a date with Jennifer Hawkins and complain about haveing to pick her up!

Absolutely, perish the thought that they concentrate on the thing they are paid well over the average salary to do.

Like any business, Wests Tigers has good will as an intangible asset that can be valued. In this instance, there is good will amongst the fans that despite not meeting expectation, they will still purchase memberships, merchandise and attend matches this season and in future seasons.

At the present moment, I think Humphreys' actions, particularly with a long serving player in Bryce Gibbs, and the reaction of the playing group to personnel changes (as measured by their performance on the field) has damaged some of this good will. However, with an off season to forget the issues of 2011, the proof will be in the growth (or lack thereof) in memberships, merchandise, crowd figures next season.

Notice for 2011 it's steady on 9105 for about the 6th, at least, week in a row now with all sorts of special deals being offered to no avail.

I get the feeling Humphries is copping the flak for the fallout of bad long term vision from the previous CEO…not all these players released were Humphries regime signings, and post 2005 many players were signed, and re-signed to contracts above their worth by not Humphries, but He-Who-Rorts-With-Roosters.

In fact, under the Humphries regime, we are still signing the marquee players we were 'promised', while removing some of the poorer talent-to-cost ratio players.

I'll be the first to admit to being a Bryce Gibbs & Liam Fulton fan, but given the Tigers financial stand-point in regards to the cap, and the club's ability to bring in a player of Blair's ability, I'd say that some sacrifice of our 'favoured guys' is not only prudent, but quite possibly necessary.

Personally, I think the clean-out we are seeing is a good thing- revitalising the club roster while not really sacrificing the quality of the squad.

the whole thread is getting ridiculous… noyce did a great job at our club ...he was a wests man through and through... he has been out of the joint for a couple of years .... time to move on with that conspiracy theory...
all i want is a team playing good competitive football... i couldnt give a toss what happens behinds the xcenes .. they get paid to do a job ... so do the players ... start doing your job players .....

Pick her up? Next thing she will be wanting me to pay half for dinner as well. Geez.

Back on topic - Not sure this will automatically end the rough patch. But it is good that its finally announced and with 2 extra signings as well. I will have a bit more faith - signing Lote took a while and involved an overseas stint without a signature, but we got him in the end.

I guess u have to be flexible and a bit cunning to get the good ones.

Although I do like the nickname - the fib - even though it isnt great to be in the dark.

Humphreys said the team was trying to turn around there form . Stopping trying how about doing . There is no such thing as try .
