Rowe has been pretty good positionally, most of the time he has been in the correct position to field kicks, Sandow caught him out with a 40/20 but most of the time he has been sound. Under the high ball he has been reliable as most no1s running around, they all drop a few.

Where he falls down is his defense mainly and his lack of attacking instinct. He is ineffective in defense and he has become a target for the other teams.

In saying all this I would not play Austen at no1, he has more important things to do around the ruck

The best solution is for Rowe to play wing, a position he has played in many times before and will handle well. Nofoaluma to fullback and Lulia to take Nofo's centre spot.

Nofo is a winger, not centre! Liulia in for suspended simona.. If Nofo to fullback ( which I agree) then koro to wing.

I like this idea but then once you start moving rowe to wing Im sure Mr T and a few others like koro might be due for a crack.Mr T and Koro have defensive issues but quite obviously will have far more impact in attack.Doubt Rowe will be that much better defensively to warrant selection ahead of Mr T and koro for that matter.

Wasn't meant to be a Rowe carve up guys, I think if Tedesco is 3-4 weeks away don't think there is any point in trying another youngster at this point. Plus think we need another general kicker and some sort of spark. He could duck into dummy half throughout the game aswell.
We look a much better team with him out there. Plus we are better with 4 forwards on the bench.

Think if Potter is serious he has to include Austin somewhere in the 13 next round. My choice would be at fullback. Thoughts ??????

Anasta out for 3 weeks. Blake straight to 6

whilst blake austin is going well, we don't want a repeat of shuffling players around like deck chairs on the titanic.
we've seen the results before of this, and we all hated it.

Austin in for Anasta. Rowe at fullback, even though he is green. May as well give him the experience. We're getting down to minimums here and the back line is looking pretty fragile. Why fiddle and play people out of position? Better off giving people experience in position and cop it sweet.

austin…..at fullback.

well there we have it, ive actually heard it all now.

throw woodsy in the halves while we're at it

Rowes best position back in Premier league ..totally out of his depth .I have given him 2 games and doubt he will ever play NRL on a full time basis,I am very surprised he was signed up again to be frank!

First words that came to my mind reading your response Willow…Michael Morgan.

I am against the idea though

He spent the offseason training at 6, and now with Anasta out for 3 weeks, Blake will get his chance against the Roosters. This will give us more spark in the halves and hopefully our backs will see more ball. It will no doubt result in Rowe being kept at fullback, but injuries are forcing our hand now.

I don't see Rowe as a liability, just not as good as our best. Its only fair that if you are going to throw a kid in the team out of desperation, then atleast give him a good chance to prove himself.

I would leave him there until our best are ready.

Exactly.
He's not making exciting kick returns or scoring meat pies, but how many games has he played in the NRL, if anyone remembers the Morris boys early games, they would have put them in park footy.
You can't expect a kid with zero first grade experience to tear the roof off, it rarely happens and he hasn't cost us games.

Uhh yes it has, if Sandow didn't have a day off with his boot his defence would of cost us the game.

Everybody here go's nuts for Austin. He has good speed when he runs the ball, besides that I don't see what he has to offer more than Anasta. Thoughts?

I'm happy for Anasta to see out the year with Brooks and bring in Moses next year.
