Blake Austin Released

so with Blake Austin going to the raiders is it the end of Terry Campese down there?
It will be interesting to see how Blake does go here in season 2015.

As we have seen over many seasons, players who are in need of a contract, all of a sudden are in career best form and once a deal is secured, the form drops off.

Campeses career in first grade is already over ,he spent his last days playing for Mounties .

While I loved watching Blake play…...i think he knew like us thta he was never gonna jag the 6/7 position,

IMO Moses and Brooks,who i might add have been playing together for years and have a very nice combination which compliments eachother.

Blake was always going to be a fill in....

I wish him well at the Raiders and I hope he kills it!

Throw in Te Maire Martin and who wants to be the third string quarterback ? Austin did a job for us this season and deserves a crack elsewhere. Good luck buddy.

Funny thing is, if Blake had to choose he chose Moses too and that's why he left.

Blake wanted to go. He allready signed with the Raiders for 2016 for 3 years. The club did the right thing by releasing him. Good for Blake and his family, good for us too in the long run.

With Brooks and Moses, Austin's time with us was probably only ever about beefing up his resume, and he did a pretty damn good job of it by jagging a lucrative long term contract with a guaranteed starting spot.
