I don't like the centre position is where the problem lies for them. We split them up the middle.Sounds like the Kiwis are looking for a scapegoat. Blake isn't on much coin . But there big buys RTS got burnt by Simona. Luke has done much. Last night Johnson made 1 hit up all game. They know they can't drop these players. So they are looking at a Blakes position. Hurrell may be better or may not be , but I don't think by changing a centre it will fix their problems

I don't think anyone's suggesting a change at centre will fix all the problems. Just that thinking Ayshford Hurrell is not exactly a sign of high-quality team selection.

It should be pretty obvious to anyone that the reason Hurrell isn't playing is due to a disciplinary issue. Bagging out poor Ayshford because he has the misfortune of being selected in Hurrell's jersey is bad form on the part of the fans. Realistically, Ayshford isn't a superstar, but he certainly doesn't deserve the hate he gets.

He almost came down with Glandular Fever at the end of 2010\. Was never the same player after that.

He was never the same player the minute he became a Dad , it changes your life and priorities

Ive never had a huge wrap on Ayshford.

Im the only bloke in the world that would have much rather we kept picking Collis. I loved his skill and thought we were always a better side with him in, but that is a whole other story.

When Ayshford was young, I thought he might develop into a decent edge forward, but as a centre I didnt think he was dynamic and/or skillful enough to impact games.

I feel the Warriors are missing a trick not playing either Hurrell or Fusitua in his spot.

As for the disciplinary reasons for Hurrell, everything that has been discussed about him in the offseason has been about him finally realising that he had to work and how much extra he has done to get fit and match his talent, Id be surprised if off field factors were influencing the decision. I reckon Cappy is just trying to take a safe option in Ayshford.

Id like to see the Warriors play to their strengths which is direct and straight through middle with the off loads and the ad-hoc second phase stuff that RTS and Johnson can excel with coupled with some expansive play at the edges late in the tackle count to get their 3/4's 1 on1, they will make mistakes playing that style but they would win more than half their games and finish in the 8 and would be a very dangerous proposition in the finals.
