Blake Ayshford to The Sharks?

Saw some chatter on some other sites so I got in touch with a connection of mine
Can't reveal the source but he's in the sharks top 17….
I'm sure some one can put two and two together and figure out who it is.

Anyways, back to the topic.
Blake Ayshford plans to seek a release and join fellow ex team mates and friends Beau, Chris & Bryce (+etc) at The Sharks 2014 and beyond.

Tim Simona isn't the one they're after and they've been in talks with Blake for some time.

Thoughts?
 
Might be quicker to list those not going to the Sharks. Apparently every player we have is linked to the Sharks in some way, shape or form.
 
This rumor sounds better. Tell the sharkies supporters he will sign a 3 year deal after the game if we lose tonight.

Might be closer to the mark with Ayshford going to the Sharks, Funny they cant seem to develop their own players.
 
Ayshford has strong ties with the club through his mates.
Beau, Chris & Bryce.

Not sure how tight he would be with those guys,
 
Ayshford went to school in the Shire if I'm not mistaken , Endeavour Sports High. Still, with all of these rumours flying around at the moment, I have no idea what sounds truthful and what isn't.
 
I can easily picture him in a Sharks jersey. Some players you find it hard to picture at another club, Ayshford isn't of them i don't think.
 
Although I do like Blake I feel this move benefits us hugely! Would open up a spot in the outside backs that we desperately need without losing a so called 'gun' he was solid but solid isn't good enough for the nrl in the backs. Similar to Reddy.

I think if this is true it benefits him as well as us. tbh I can't see a spot for him in our full strength side and cronulla need a centre. and in my opinion I would rather see ayshford go instead of simona
 
It's funny how on their forum they say things like 'why bother developing our juniors when we just have the Tigers doing it for us'

Isn't that a bad look on their club??

Humpty signed too many players to long contracts without them proving much beforehand. Before long contract on big money you need to carefully calculate things. He just seemed to have no idea about numbers at all. Truly awful.

Ayshford wouldn't be in our top squad so he could go. Hopefully we wouldn't have to pay much if anything for them to take him seeing he wants to go. He's part of that previous gen of players that looked good at first but never quite kicked on and as stated would be mates with some of those other tigersharks.

Was quite impressed when we got him from the Roosters, but I have more confidence in some of our younger players into the future. He may be ahead some of them now, but they could far surpass his current ability.
 
I reckon Blake always gives a good account of himself and we certainly have a backline conundrum for next year. I would not like to see Blake go, but that is generally true for most tigers I cheer for every week.

Could we be successful with Ayshford - probably.
Could we be successful without Ayshford - probably.
 
Based on the number of players they have taken from West Tigers it may be an opportune time for the NRL to press for Cronulla to Joint Venture with another team.
 
I think that this would probably suit us. It opens up some space in our backline which is really required at this point.
