Blake Ferguson

Well looks like Dugan and Ferguson may be available from Canberra shortly. Both stood down and reports saying both likely to be sacked.

Now Dugan I wouldn't touch and don't think we need as Tedesco is a lock in for fullback but I would sign Blake Ferguson in a heartbeat.

He is a dickhead but I don't care. He is talented, fast and can make an IMPACT. Can also play fullback, wing or centre so he is pretty versatile. We desperately need some speed and strength in the backline and so if he becomes available we would have to be absolute idiots to not consider it.

Every season, without fail, a few high profile players are sacked from their club for disciplinary reasons and picked up by other clubs. I’m sick to death of seeing clubs like the Roosters & Knights land these players, while we forge on with our useless but well-behaved squad. It's about time we did what everyone else is doing. A risk yes, but beggars can't be choosers and risks are required.

Why not have a crack.

The bloke is quick and we're lacking pace at the back. Only issue I have is that he has hands like feet.

Last thing Potter needs is a nutcase turd with baggage

We already are lightweights mentally….he's showed several times he'd fit in perfectly re that category...he doesnt have the hunger, isnt a team player...seen him bomb numerous trys going for the ''me'' shot

u got to be kidding, we will sit on our hands untill some else grabs them just like we did with mason. worst thing we ever did was sack lui, now he is back playing , now tell me who got punished?????

HELL HELL HELL NO!

His talent, although prodigious, comes and goes and the guy is poison off the field.

I remember everyone telling me Mason was poison too. That worked out well, didn't it?

The idiots who were responsible for not signing him shouldn't make the same mistake twice.

Ferguson is a massive upgrade on what we have, if he causes problems them he can easily be punted. Simple as that.

Thats a strawman argument.

Not everyone HT….plenty wanted big willie in a Tigers jumper

I'm one to stand up and say I am happy that we didn't sign Mason. It's obvious here that a few don't know what goes on behind the scenes with him, but I will say no more on that. Sure, he is playing well in a good pack with a good coach and he has the home environment again. None of those things he would have had with us.

As for Ferguson, puhlease. Why the rush to sign a gold plated tool? I think we have some junior talent that would be a far better investment with our limited money.

Why don't we go through the various jails, mental institutions, drug and alcohol clinics and the rest of those quality places in the search for talent. I'm sure there are some good footballers amongst that lot too!

Let's just stick to quality, hard working, honest types. You know, normal people who have respect for themselves.

How the hell is it? We were told that sponsors and the board were unhappy because Mason was apparently poison, a bad influence etc. etc.

We signed a useless reserve grader instead, a vastly inferior player, and the Knights took Mason and he killed it there.

It's about time we took the same risks as other clubs.

As for Nofoaluma, rate him very highly and want him in FG asap, and I don't think signing Ferguson will slow that process.

1\. Tedesco
2\. Koroibete
3\. Nofoaluma
4\. Lawrence/Ayshford
5\. Ferguson

An infinitely better backline than we have currently taking the field and both Nofoaluma and Ferguson can play in multiple positions so versatile.

If Ferguson becomes a bad influence off the field then we rip up his contract. Pretty simple. It's a win win.

Compelling argument against going for Mason, Swordy

Never read such garbage…what a waste of everyones time

C'mon we know the Tigers won't sign him

We are far too concerned about our image than we are about winning football games

What goes on behind the scenes with Mason then? Unless you are going to tell us all then I'll take your insinuation for what it is: an insinuation. Nothing backed up by fact.

Fact: Mason was available for peanuts last year
Fact: Mason was signed by Bennett, one of the games most experienced and successful coaches. If he was such a cancer as you are hinting at Bennett wouldn't have touched him with a 10 ft pole
Fact: Mason has been outstanding since he was thrown a lifeline

Why rush to sign Ferguson? Well, there are plenty of reasons. The main two that our backline is in desperate need of speed, hight and aggression and the fact that he is a far better player than most of the players we have playing first grade.

Is he a risk? Of course. But beggars can't be choosers when you are in our situation with limited dollars and a mediocre squad.

As for sticking to "quality, hard working, honest types" well that has certainly won us plenty of football games lately, hasn't it? :crazy

Skipping recovery training sessions and getting on the piss is really going to win you games eh?

One week into the season….ONE week!!
The guys got no respect for himself...hes a bottom feeder..he'd laugh at a rookie coach in Potter the instant he was told to pull his head in.
