Bleak times ahead..?

Close to 150 points scored against us in the last 3 games. Our defence exploited today by a bigger, stronger team, our attack sadly blunt and without ideas.
Injuries have also exposed our depth - but to their credit, I saw (most) of the team having a go, right up to the last try.

It's clear (now) that the early form we experienced earlier on was built on shaky foundations. Once the other teams started to get their mojo going, the difference between a good team and and average team has become apparent.

I am not sure where Benji goes from here. We got the dogs next week, and they are due for a win. Hopefully it won't be against us, but a lot depends on what team Benji picks. I don't see our half and 5/8 combining to create any real opportunities in attack, and this needs to be addressed. This said, I don't know who you could pick.

Team has my support. It is hard not to feel sorry for the guys that are playing their guts out in what is starting to become a critical situation. Avoiding a spiralling descend into the bottom 4's must be what is the belief going forward. Starting next week.

This is not about making excuses, more a reality - which to us supporters, is not startling.

............It's clear (now) that the early form we experienced earlier on was built on shaky foundations................

It was clear long before now.
Its been ad lib all along

Once Origin is done the serious stuff starts to happen...we have a pretty tough run despite dogs and drags both twice
I think I predicted 10th back in Feb....might be lucky to get that high

Actually dont think bleak times ahead.

We have a lot of injuries and suspension of Api.

After the bye we will start getting people back and hopefully May is ok.

Still think we are finals bound if we get players back
I don’t ti hard to come back from this. The players coming back are like Taylan, they need surgery so coming back as semi-injured players. Not fully fit, so not the same

I know it’s been said a lot but I want to point out that over the last 2 weeks we have been missing the majority of our top 10 players. Api, Doueihi, Bula, Sam Fainu, Twal, Terrell have been our top 6 players this year and they’ve all been out. Now on top of that there’s injury and suspension concerns for Tiny, Madden, Terrell, Herbert, Mason.

Any team with this many important guys out would be struggling and as frustrating as it is we did well to maintain the +/- points today because things could’ve been a lot worse

Yes, some like you saw it sooner; others like me dreamed of what might be.

Hopefully, 10th, but at least will be an improvement from last year. ;-)

The bye couldn’t have come at a better time. Api’s been our best player this year and he will back to play against the Bulldogs; and Twal will be fit to play by then. Lots of injuries are main reason we’ve fallen away. The team with all fully fit again can turn this around!!

Benji can win with his best side, but that is only half of the picture in an NRL Season. I can understand us getting beat with suspensions and injuries but I can't cop these inept, unprofessional performances.

We don't even play badly. They're non performances. Its worse than reserve grade.

Team doesn't care. They couldn't perform as professionals. That wasn't a defeat. That was like, turning up to a motor race and not being even able to drive. It was pathetic.

It’s not that they don’t care, it’s that they’re not first graders. You can’t expect them to play to a first graders standard. You can put it down to the recruitment or coaching team but not the players, if they could go toe to toe with first graders in consecutive weeks like Mason, Hope and Geyer have been asked to do then they would find another club where they could start at. It’s just poor timing

We know nothing else. It's not bleak - more just normal.
We've acclimatised to it.
We have adjusted biologically and spiritually to nullify any feelings of disgust, fear and loathing.

Again. The ref's had a hand in our demise today.

No excuses.

Stop it 🛑 AHX. You starting to sound like Cameron Ciraldo. (that wasn't me)

with these injuries i think we can get 6 more wins
dogs
titans
dragons
dogs
Parramatta
dragons

that would put tigers 4 points out of 8th spot 🙁

before AD and Sam F got hurt we were a lock to make the semis

Marshall has very little outside the culture stuff, and pride in the jersey. When it comes to strategising game plans, picking the right team, and managing a bench, he’s lost.

I can expect them to play reserve grade standards. Basics of the game and executing 80 minutes of professional footy. They played like a bad high school team.
