Blocker's Back...

I don't think anyone is disagreeing with your comments. People are more worried about him putting down the joint venture in lieu of being the Balmain Tigers old boy.

I don't recall blocker ever putting down the JV in favour of Balmain.

Is there an incident I am missing?

He said that he didn't give a stuff about the Wests side a few yrs ago on NRL on Fox. Anyway forget the fact of who he is, why are we bringing someone back who more than once has verbally bashed the captain of the club, on one occasion as an employee. It would be like a member of the Storm coaching staff bagging Smith in the media. It wouldn't happen. Why are appointing people who have the professionalism of a dung beetles?

I might be stupid and the way I’m looking at it now is this might have been the wake-up call I needed.

“Maybe I was getting a bit ahead of myself and this was the reality check to pull me back into line.

Yeah over the last few years Block has certainly said things that have made me cringe… but I'm a 'live and let live' kind of person, let's give him a go then judge.

I didn't see the episode and so don't know the context he said made the 'I don't give a stuff' comment in.

But in any case, should he really give a stuff about the magpies??

Sounds a bit precious to me.

As long as he can bring in the $$$ for the WT, then no one should be complaining. And if he doesn't do the job, I'm sure our new professional, independent, results driven, business savvy board won't hesitate in showing him the door.

Whose being precious? You asked for an example, I gave you one

Just when you thought the club was starting to make some good off-field decisions. What's wrong with Skando, Hodgo or Buckets? Hell even Darren Senter.

skando, fulton, dwyer etc. are working with us already

the others have no credentials whatsoever.. fact of the matter is there are no WT legends yet- the only one i can imagine would be galloway, farah and maybe halatu when he retires.

Halatau IS a Wests Tigers legend.

Halatau is a premiership player, and not only that he was a very key component of that premiership. He was the player of the finals series.

I asked for an example of Blockie putting down the WT in favour of Balmain.

You didn't provide any such example.

You said yourself you didn't see it, so couldn't put it into context. I remember it, and i remember how it came across. Whether you accept what i'm saying or not, i couldn't give a toss. I never replied to your comment expecting to change your opinion.

Whilst an employee of the club he promoted a game at Brookvale oval as being at a great ground whilst the WT were playing at Cambelltown which he didn't mention.

Great for bringing in the $$$.

Theres your example.

But he didn't bag out the **Wests Tigers** did he?

Conversations with you are always painful.

Having shots at the captain is having shots at the club. If he had any respect for the organization he would of shut his mouth or at the very most, had a chat to RF in person. Yapping to the media is just pathetic.

Add to that the bullying at 2gb and we have ourselves a a grade clown.

The club tricks me into thinking they are making big leaps in the right direction and than they bring back jokes like blocker. We ( wests tigers) have a huge amount of ex players, that actually played for wests, far better suited for this type of role.

Anyways, no doubt blocker will do what blocker does and mess this up and hopefully it will be the last we see or hear from him.

Except for the fact that he was 'yapping' as part of his paid role within the media. He was employed to do specifically that… give an opinion on football matters.

So I take it, if Phil Gould makes the remark as part of his Channel 9 role, that Jamie Soward is not displaying the kind of form that warrants a State of Origin recall, you believe he should then proceed to quit as Panthers General Manager?

Because that's the exact same scenario your talking about with Blocker.

Hypotheticals now?

Yes, if hypothetically Gould had a brain snap and bagged out the captain of the club, in the media, that he is now the GM of he should resign.

But Gould wouldn't say that so its a pointless thought process. He comes across very much like a "closed room" type of guy.

I just don't get what blocker hoped to achieve out of the comment. This " he was trying to fire RF up" is rubbish.

Meh, like I said, time will prove that this is a bad move. Best of luck.
