I think Hayne is on the wing because we have some decent fullback depth but no wing depth. Also he may not be at 100% just yet. I don't doubt that if he plays he will chop and change with Dugan during the game.
 
Hayne is a lot stronger on defence aswell, which is key on Inglis's side of the field. So that should hopefully put that worry to rest.

Plus on attack he will hold a clinic against Boyd!

On triple m I heard hayne has to be running at full pace on Wednesday if he wants to play. If not McManus is 100% in. Come on hayne we need you mate !

Hayne had been running for a while.. But I guess not at full pace. So lets hope is good to go by Wednesday!

Terrible news.

NSW selectors bring in another finisher who provides zero impact returning kicks.

No point having a backline finisher with Pisshands Pearce as your halfback

I really hope Mcmanus stays on his wing if there is no threat inside… Mcmanus should swap wings with brett so that morris is up against boyd
 
No hayne hurts bad.

Shouldv'e gone Taufua i reckon. Not sure on his defence.

Even if they had gone Uate they would get some impact going forward, however i understand he has pretty average defence as well
 
We are screwed Mcmanus on the wing Hayne out, he played without a doubt the worst origin game in history in 08, and they pick him ahead of other wingers like uate etc

my god Cronk is going to be thinking how easy the gameplan is just kick it to the left hand side all night, and tell GI to run left at him as he will run out of the line and Boyd might have 4 trys

Without a doubt the worst origin game in history? Watch any origin game David Williams, Steve Turner or Nathan Merritt played in and tell me they were worse than McManus. His performance was nothing to write home about, but it was hardly the worst ever.

McManus in my opinion is a safe player who won't win you a game and probably won't lose you one either. I'd love to have Hayne there, but if we lose it is doubtful it will be because we picked McManus over any of the other options we currently have.
