Bmm

When he was starting second rower against Penrith (?) he was good but since that match he only gets 20 minutes per game. If we let him go, rest assured, he will come back to bite us. He is still young and will respond to being given the responsibility of starting; we need to realise that bench players need to be impact players but only getting on the field in the last 20 minutes each week makes it nigh on impossible to have a major impact on the game.

He sure couldn't have done any worse than our other forwards in the first half. Come on, Mick, give Groat and BMM a fair go!

Groat is very very average. Ava, Buchanan, Galloway and woods all easily better.

But yes BMM deserves a start.

Matt Groat was chucked into the deep end last season before he was ready. Going by his junior record where he excelled at every level, he needs to be given a fair go now, because he is no longer a boy playing amongst and against men; he is now a man himself and having watched him in State Cup recently, I think he is now ready to step up.

shown absolutely sweet FA in the last 3 or 4 years plays like a big pussy and must be let go along with anasta, thompson, and bring in a quality second rower that has a bit of mongrel and can make more than 40m per game than our current back rowers who couldnt break the water if they fell out of a boat.

Youve to Be kidding if we get rid of him. He's one of few who actually runs straight and hard. Potter has to start in to get the most out of him rather than off the bench. He has the size and power to be a star.
Lets not make the same mistake as we did with Teo. Look at Teo now.

so you reckon we keep him for another 4 years and realize he is crap then.that bloke cant catch he might run hard 1 out of every 5 runs and is the laziest bloke in the team by a mile i think after that long he should be showing something.he is just a myth on here along with 5 or 6 others.

Completely agree. I think he's been very frustrating but definitely worth persisting with.

mate dont compare the 2,teo looked the goods with us and when he left he has actually improved every year as bmm has always been a bludger and never really improved, with that size he should be running through brick walls.

What about Fifita? obvious he had ability but was let go as a combo with Bryce Gibbs primarily because he had a bad attitude. He was consistently thrown into NSW Cup after a couple of NRL games by sheens

well this is what coaching is all about getting the best out of players, ( bellamey, does it and a few others), we will see what potter is all about by seasons end, either he gets the best out of him or he will let him go.

Yep, Groat is looking good. I think he is injured maybe? He had a MoM performance a few weeks ago. He will be ready to consistently put up good numbers on prop rotation end of this year or next year. Still very young.

Groat would be better than Weyman I think - can't really believe Weyman might be a possibility?

And I agree that BMM needs to step up or go elsewhere because I am no longer sure what he is supposed to bring to the side. It used to be hole running but he rarely seems to bust tackles and has rookie mistakes in him too.
