BMM

i dont care what anyone says but he was the best forward out there. i wrote him off last week in another thread and this week he just killed manly with his brute power. first time i didnt see him drop a ball in a match. he looked interested tonight for the first time. if this loss means BMM blossoms then im all over it.

Maybe he's finally arrived as a first grader? We all know the potential he has and if tonight is a sign of things to come then i'm excited about his future with us. Before tonight's game I wasn't sure he'd play much first grade this year - keep proving us wrong BMM!!!!

BMM and Moors both impressed off the bench, they went forward and were a handful for Manly. Both should be there next week.

Yep. They both earned a first grade spot tonight. Will they prove that they can be consistently worthy of a first grade spot? I hope so. Both of them at their best are better than Groat but he is consistently better than both of them

Agree Groat rushed up when Williams scored his try and then was taken off. I would like to see Moors given more time.

Both MMM and Junior Moors were fantastic. Gave great energy and muscle when they came on. Go you good things!!!!

I have no doubt they will be. Ellis would have to be a 1000/1 to get over a cork like that in a week. We are looking very thin in the forward department which should guarantee both retain their place. I really want to see BMM kick on, there has been a lot of faith placed in him.

I was super impressed with both BMM and Moors, Moors especially. Gee he was busy and effective in the time he was on.

HAVE to be in our team.

Junior was under utilised for mine.

Both played well though. Real pleasure to see

his best game in first grade by a mile.
was great to finally see the potential.

up until now,i couldn't see what the fuss was about.
he stood up to be counted, now he has to keep doing it.

Watched him last week in reggies and it was like he was just marking time, doing the bare minimum.

That attitude needs to change

perhaps Sheens wasn't expecting such a good effort from Ben or Moors, but I believe he erred in not giving them more time.

best game I've seen from each of them in a Tigers jersey. I don't think we are thin at all in the forward department if we can get close to that effort from them each time they are included in the side.

If anything, Brown's release makes us thin in the backs, but that's for another topic…

i dont get the BMM is lazy or a bad trainer, is it just a stero stype cause he is an islander

during 2010 and early 2011 i heard from folkes that the staff were super impressed with his attitude

maybe this has changed but from what ive heard the lazy thing couldnt be further from the truth

was fantastic, maybe his best position is prop?

Could be. He looked great when he was carting the ball up the middle third, awesome leg drive and body positioning, fighting for every inch. But the again - he looked terrific in the 2nd half on a couple of occasions when he got the ball a little wider with space in front of him and was able to utilise his footwork and acceleration.

Easily his best game in the top grade

If he can keep up that consistancy every week he definitely deserves a bench spot when we are at full strength

And if does keep up those performances week after week we need not look for a replacement for Ellis , he has arrived

It's not that he's a bad trainer (it's no secret when he was at Keebra he was overweight and worked very hard to shed the excess kilos. Looking at his build it's easy to see how easy he could bulk up if he slackens off on training and diet) it's just that in the Eels trial his involvement was not particularly high, and for BRET against Newtown prior to the Foundation Cup he did not do a lot either, which is frustrating because he's given us glimpses of what he can do. He certainly came out with intent in FG though, and that's what he needs to produce every week if he's going to play FG.

Last Friday night was certainly a step in the right direction.
