Was thinking about klemmer getting picked in the first trial and thought about how much better our front row could be if Hunt and May deliver. Add Pole and there is maybe only one spot left for a regular prop depending on the bench. Stefs potential is a loss, his actual output isn't. Twal, Sione F and Klemmer - 2 don't make it if Bird is lock with an edge and utility also on the bench. Sione on an edge changes this a little but also pressures Seyfarth which is good for the squad.

Then I was on reddit browsing nrl stuff and saw an article that reminded me Turuva and Skelton were here, both would have been used in FG for all of 2024 Given the state of backline.

Oh, then I remembered Luai. And two viable young 5/8s. I also think Bula has another gear and will find it in a better team. Api and TDS very good coverage at 9.

And Jack Bird, if he can stay on the park for half a season, is a very good footballer in a couple of positions.

Pending injuries and selections, Faatape, Porter, Laulili, Doueihi etc.... might get little or no game time.

Forgetting the clubs history, comfortably a top 8 squad. The potential amount of improvement in the middle and metres from backs is ridiculous. With our baggage and coaching my head says 12th with Benji sacked mid year and the team gradually gelling after that. My heart says top 4, and honestly any result from last to top 4 is possible.

When I really think it through we haven't had a team that was only missing a couple of players [centre and second row] in years!

Trials have only taught me that trials teach you nothing about teams and little about individuals. Predictions won't change but my preferred 1 - 17 might a little

My bold prediction is the comp is going to be super close.
We will be going into the final round with a Chance to make the top 8 if we win. In true tigers fashion we will loose and looose well and fall down the ladder to last place since the comp will be so close.
