No time for fringe issues like national security or the economy.

100% and I said something similar earlier that was immediately deleted.
No swearing, no rules broken, just inconvenient truth.
Governments, courts and the media have allowed this certain group to dominate the narrative and present a one sided account of what is happening.
It was always going to empower lunatics to perform this type of attack.
Now they are all saying how shocked they are. Really? You really want us to think you didn’t anticipate this when you were green lighting all those protest marches and rallies?

I have a mate that lives in Bondi...have tried to explain for years it's a bigger problem than he perceives and he was always convinced it will never happen here...Bondi is safe, they don't let just anyone in here blah blah.

Today, he changed his mind.

Unfortunately many Australians are woefully ill informed about how bad things can get.
They aren’t experienced in this way of life. They haven’t been to countries where stuff like this occurs far too regularly.
They need to wake up. Of course it can happen here. This would be one of the easiest countries to do it in as the general population are not equiped to protect themselves - mentally or physically.
We are a laid back people…easy targets.

This isn't the first attack in Bondi of late.

Could happen anywhere though.

We are ignorant...and....are you ready...brainwashed. We can't conceptualise that others don't think the same or have the same values.

Only Western countries push this. Our kindness and naivety is used against us. Quite sad it has to come to this.

Get what you're saying, but I think people generally accept there is going to be a level of crime within society.

The shopping centre attack was a mentally ill homeless guy. Can't compare to a calculated terrorist attack done by 2 people which included guns and IED's. This is treason.

Ive known Lebanese christians...two families ..neighbours when i lived in Guildford..SW Sydney...heart of middle east gangland...they were wonderful people....the muslims however
 
If sworn enemies cant get along in their motherlands what makes anyone think they can live in peace and harmony here?
Extremists benefit from chaos and war.
Peace requires leaders to govern well, war excuses failures.
 
When I turned on the TV after getting home from a hike and seen it was a shooting at a beach the first thing that came to mind was oh no Cronulla has come to a head again but Bondi, you can't be serious.

Then thoughts went back to the trouble at recent protests, man what are these people thinking.
 
The Bondi junction man who went on a stabbing rampage was not a reflection of white men; the siege people in Queensland who killed the cops on their property are not reflective of Christians, despite their apparent faith, and these b.astards are not reflective of Muslim people. They are killers, terrorists, enemies of us all.

Don't allow this event to be an excuse to target a religious group on the basis of their religion.

I know many Muslim people. Their culture is community, family and devotion. They will be sickened by this. They protest Israel but they have love and respect for Jewish people and religious devotion. Their protest is political not religious. This savage murder is abhorrent to everyone.

This is a terrible day for Jewish people and the Australian community. Let's work together and support and protect each other. Don't turn on our neighbours.
