Braith Anasta keen to prove fitness for Sharks game
>
Braith Anasta could be a late inclusion in the Wests Tigers team to tackle Cronulla Sharks on Friday night.
>
Anasta trained with the side at Concord Oval this morning in an endeavour to prove he has overcome a shoulder injury suffered in the round 14 loss to the Broncos.
>
Coach Mick Potter said he would discuss the issue with his coaching staff and wait to see how Anasta pulls up after training before making a decision.
>
“Braith will have to convince us 100 per cent that he is right and is ready to play,’’ Potter said.
>
“I’m not going to take any chances. The players that are there have been doing the job so there is no reason to change them.”
>
The possible return of Anasta is only one selection headache Potter faces in coming weeks. Winger Marika Koroibete, prop Keith Galloway and utility Joel Reddy have been marked down to return from injury for the round 19 match against the Warriors at Leichhardt Oval.
>
“It is a pleasant headache to have. It could be a case of having Marika back and we have got two wingers (David Nofoaluma and Tim Simona) who have been doing the job,’’ Potter added.
>
“He may have to come back through State Cup. I’m sure Marika will have a good case of being picked for the NRL after he plays a couple of games. We will just see where we are at for that particular week.”

Interesting last part about Marika good to see he wont walk straight back in

Not sure where Anasta fits in anymore do we really need him?

Yes a player playing his 5 th NRL game should defiantly be selected before a 150 plus gamer…Aussie rep, origin rep!!!! really don,t need all that expieriance. :crazy

I don't think he should walk back in on current form. He won't pick up big metres in attack, he isn't allowed to use his kicking game, and defensively he's sound, but not a big hitter. I'd start Sue at lock ahead of him, and 6 to 1 half a dozen the other as to whether he starts ahead of Thompson.

It's an interesting one. I must admit I did like what I saw when He was playing out wide so maybe he can start from the bench and Mick can give him the green light when he feels the time is right.

He was probably our best player in his last match against Penrith and has been one of our better players all year. Adds experience, smarts and skill to our side would be welcomed back with open arms for mine

I would have him there for his leadership alone. He's no worse than Pettybourne, Thompson or Spence.

When you are tired up with 2 minutes on the clock I know who should be on the paddock ! It's not all about metres .

Anasta for Spence on the bench.

Tell Thompson you have 20 minutes to start the game and destroy the opposition.

Need Anasta's experience.

I can feel another win if we stick to Potter's simple game plan

Anasta can read the play, however we need work horses too. Potter is the best person to decide.Anasta could come off the bench after the softening period and help direct play from there. His experience and wealth of knowledge is a plus, don't think he is over the hill yet, he still has plenty to contribute. Braithe has great attitude and will be an asset to any team.

They will start Anasta and play sue off the bench after 25 minutes.. And try to make sue impact on the game. But as you said potter will make the best decision
